Anyone with an account can edit IMDB, so I wouldn't take that too seriously. Didn't IMDB say Tommy Wiseau was going to be in it when it was first announced too? This is a reboot, not a remake so I don't think they'd go as far as to bring old characters back.

You cant trust IMDB, anyone can edit it. Ive already allerted the staff, its just a rumor okay? I mean, it would be cool and all... And DURP004, yes, IMDB also started that fake rumor.

IF it is true, I don't even care. I really don't care whether or not some uninteresting character is going to be in this movie. I only care about the monsters, plot, and setting

Wow, so according you 'Godzillasaurus' the TRAGIC HERO SCIENTIST who built the Oxygen Destroyer and KILLED GODZILLA, taking his own life in the process to keep the secrets of his device from being used to make weapons, from the first film is ''uninteresting''?!

@Samzilla, Yes, I have watched the first movie. That doesn't mean that I have to believe him to be an interesting character. THAT is thinking like a child right there; thinking everyone has to have the same mind. And you're calling me a fanboy, really? I really do not think that is the proper classification for me, considering the fact that I am being critical of the film and not being all like "OMG I havn't even sein the movee yet, but it is alreddy tha best godzilla movee by far!" @Greenman, Ok, maybe "uninteresting" was a little bit strong. But I do find the character to be heavily overlooked. I do not give a flip whether or not he will be in the film.

Calling you ignorant for saying something stupid is merely logical. And quite frankly, I couldn't give two shits how you would describe yourself. In the real world you are nothing but a fanboy or just someone trying to stand out by pretending to be "critical". I think it is true. I was on muto research website and typed "SERIZAWA" in the command console and replied, "Welcome back, Dr. Serizawa! Unit seems that you're previous connection was disconnected. Here is the file you wanted: (BLOCKED)"......... That's some decent proof there. Don't belive me? Go to muto research now..........

I think there is the assumption that this is the original Dr. Serizawa. From what I am reading many seem to think this is a complete remake of the original.

Yes, the name Dr. Serizawa is attached to this film - but it could be a son, grandson, nephew - we don't know for sure. While this movie is a nod to the 1954 no one said this would be a remake.

Lets also remember in the 1954 film - there was no other monster being fought by Godzilla.
