As for that movie, the millennium era is done, so there's not a chance of that, or at least in the setting you chose. I would like to see 2 godzillas fight, but the only problem with that is personally I like some1 to root for and with that scenario I don't know who it would be.

The first Godzilla's supposed to represent punishment for mankind's selfishness. His death came from an act of human selflessness to cancel out years of sin. Dr.Serizawa in that movie is sort of the Jesus of the nuclear age. Godzilla we know and love is the result of years of bromanticizing movies. If they want to bring the 1954 version of Godzilla back they need to strike fear into hearts. Bring back the destitute and make us feel that killing him is an act of righteous cleansing. So I want to see an epic kamikaze death of three gods; the killer, the savior, and the weapons of mass destruction. Closing the trinity with crucifixion. Ending all three gods.

Dark, Gritty and Realistic? Yeah, to a degree. I dont think the movie will be that much darker than any of the 2000 movies. It will surely have a few scenes with a more sad and silent tone, but its still Godzilla, right?

It depends on how much you're willing to change their backstories. Krystalak is made from space godzilla's crystals so according to his back story that's the only movie he'd work in, but if you just said he was some king of radiated monster he could fit in any of the showa movies, and just become a background monster on monster island. In my opinion Obsidius would have fit in Godzilla vs megalon instead of Gigan. The seatopians(or whatever they're called) just call up into space to get Gigan, when it would have made more sense if they just sent up 2 ground monsters that they controlled since there's no mention of them in the prior movie with space space hunter nebula, and doesn't make sense how humans who live right above them don't know who they are but space aliens do

Actually Most of the Filming took place in BC Canada. I think minor shots were taken on location in Japan since it looks like the Big-G causes all kinds of havoc in America.

Well I'm guessing the film will take place in Japan (obviously), Hawaii (the scene at the airport seems to be set in Hawaii), and San Francisco (mainly due to the city popping up during the Godzilla Encounter).

Godzilla has worked best as an anti-hero/borderline villain in the past. I think the tagline should have to deal with relying on a creature that could destroy us in order to save the world. Gareth also said there would be an emphasis on nature. I think it will be something along the lines of "Mother Nature Meets Destroyer of Worlds," or "In [i]this[/i] Kin's court, all are guilty."

I have a feeling that godzilla will be both a "good guy" and a "bad guy" in the film. Defeats all monsters and then takes the rest of the rage out on the humans.

Gareth is trying to get a very dark, gritty, realistic tone of the first movie. I doubt we would be seeing that in this film, because it seems like an average, campy Godzilla movie from 2000, not the dark, scary, sad tone of the 1954.

Smaug could arguably use his bling to intimidate godzilla and buy an oxygen destroyer, giving an equal match.

I think a lot of it could be from San Francisco, only because of the mention of San Francisco in the viral marketing campaign from before the Godzilla Encounter.

The Oppenheimer quote tagline defo awesome, but have a feeling Warner's and Legendary will probably go cliche i.e. 'The King has Arrived' or 'Behold, the King of Monsters' impossible to be worse than Pacific Rim's 'Go Big or Go Extinct' haha

IN ESSENCE WHEN WE WATCH HIM CRUMBLE BUILDINGS CRUSH PPL TO NOTHING LEVEL ALL THAT WEVE COME TO BUILD AS THE "GODS" OF THIS PLANET....WELL BE WATCHING WHAT OUR LITTLE BOMBS CAN DO TO US ALL.

II certainly do like the quote from the trailer. Although, perhaps it's just me - it made me think it was describing the "Multi-Armed" Monster Godzilla defeats. My impression was that this evil is born unto the world, and Godzilla (as usually) is born to defeat the evil and save the Earth. Might be corny, but might also be somewhat true. Godzilla could be the "hero" but also the means of punishment on a corrupt Human race which is damaging the Earth. But as for the tagline - I like the one you posted, for sure!

I really like it but the only problem is that it cuts out a little and sounds like 2 roars....still cant wait!!!!!

We have to remember, that the roar we heard in the teaser trailer was not from the film. I think they'll deepen it a bit for the film, but as it stands I don't mind it at all! In previous films, Godzilla had many different kinds of roars, so I expect we'll hear a wide variety of epic roars when the movie hits theaters.

I personally love the sort of bass line at the end of the roar (reminds me of like something metallic and heavy being compressed into ocean depths, hard to explain, kinda hear similar sound effects in other stuff)

The first time I watched the trailer, I was on my phone, with my battery dying. The first time the roar sounded off, I jumped. I'll be honest, it was a jump scare moment for me. Then at the end, when it shows Godzilla letting out a roar, well, to be honest, it sent chills down my spine. I really loved the roar. I still occasionally look at the trailer, and it still has that effect. I really loved everything about it actually. Any sort of worry I had about the movie, such as being too uplifting or happy, or too much of a different Godzilla design, was just destroyed. I'm even more excited to see the movie than when I was still just waiting for the trailer.

The roar is ok. Though I prefer the 1954 roar. I can see that tweaked slightly to give it more bass. The roar, The design, EVERYTHING about this Godzilla is amazing. I love that legendary is the company that got the writes because it has their trademark "dark gritty" theme and I fucking love it. This is the Godzilla movie I've always wanted to be made, I've always wanted to see.

Of course Godzilla will beat him. But I'm concerned on how big you think the "multi-armed form" will be. I think they will make it no smaller than King Ghidorah in GMK. Because as most know in GMK King Ghidorah what barely taller than godzilla.
