G. H. (Gman)Godzilla Forumis the final wars godzilla godzilla jr.?

@goji14

First, the wiki page says the Godzilla from 2004 is NOT from the Heisei seres. There's no mention of it at all. Second, a wiki page can be edited by anyone. It's exactly the most concrete resource.

@BurningGodzilla1995

The scene shot of Junior in the opening credits was not put in by either screenwriters Wataru Mimira (who only wrote the storyline) or Isao Kiriyama. It was a stylistic choice made by Kyle Cooper who was hired to create the opening credits of the movie. He choose the shot because it looked cool. Not because it was Junior. (It's not.)

@Gamzilla234

There seems to be some dispute about when Final Wars actually opens. In press release reveals it was said that the opening of the film takes place in the 1960s. Only recently have I discovered that there's some belief it took place in 2004. Is there an official source you're seeing that says one way or another? Wikipedia is not one I will accept with out a credible source claim. I've not watched the film in a long time so I can't remember if it's outright said or not.

GMK is both one of my favorites and one of the best in the entire series. I love the suit as well, though I understand some people's complaints. The fact is the suit was built to be hunched over-- That's why the belly is a little unflattering. However, the suit proved to be too heavy for the suit actor to walk while hunched over so they had to use it for an upright position.

Otherwise it's a surprisingly mobile suit that truly captures the massiveness to Godzilla. It's the biggest and heaviest suit of the series and it made an impression with built-in facial animatronics that put every other previous head to shame. What other Godzilla head (connected to the suit) could lift its eyebrows, curl its lip, furrow its brow, wrinkle its nose, blink and rotate its head in every direction altogether? Sure some suits can do those individually, but none have been able to replicate that much at once.

Even if I didn't like the suit it wouldn't deter me from the film. The movie is too good on its own to complain about Godzilla's look. If my enjoyment for Godzilla movies depended so much on the suit design I wouldn't like a lot of Godzilla movies. I've never been a fan of the suit from King Kong vs. Godzilla or Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster, but both are still fantastic movies.

BurningGodzilla1995;

And people used to say that "transformers didn't have enough fans to make a movie about" and look where we are at, three crappy Transformer movies and a fourth on the way.

Personally I'm terrified of the movie becoming too popular because I hate the idea of godzilla becoming this mainstream thing filled with fake fans and casuals that pretend that they've always been fans of the genre.

As harsh as that sounds, its just how I feel.

But I can tell you, the cast of this movie is going to put asses in seats. I gaurantee it.

Mighty imagination but with how people are now and the lacking numbers of fans it probably won't happen....I mean they used to crank these movies year after year but we've had to wait ten years in rumor filled darkness....I like your idea (anguirus should get a movie too) but it probably won't happen ......let's just enjoy these weird muto Things and see how they turn out

What I want, and hear me out on this, its crazy.

If the movie does well, instead of minimizing Rodan by just making him one of Godzilla's enemies, I'd like to see him regain his glory from the sixties.

Give Rodan his own film with his own enemies, set in the same universe as Godzilla, then make  a Mothra movie, finally bring them all together in an avengers style film where they fight Ghidorah.

the GMK design was interesting to me because I loved how it brought a more classic original look while still having a new perspective and touch....but I don't like his dorsal spines...only complaint....they look melted

I actually do like the film and the suit to me looks great gives Godzilla a menacing look.

my least favorite would probably be Final Wars cuz film script looked pretty rushed so rushed that they even made the earth Defenders on the alien side.

the designs of the monsters looked great though especially Anguirus.

Kyero toho did have supervising over the design (not control) and tohos monsters are classic...I mean I understand wanting new ones but nothing was wrong with godzilla's old enemies and allies. Anguirus was a great monster and mechagodzilla was one of godzilla's greatest foes....this movie isn't supposed to be seen as a separate but a equal and add on to the classics

None.

All new Kaiju for an all new franchise. Toho Kaiju have no place in this American franchise.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Toho had no part in the production (nor will they ever) beyond supervising Godzilla's appearance.

Every Toho monster has licenses that need to be purchased in order for them to be used, and Legendary has wisely stayed away from them. I don't EVER want to see a Toho monster besides Godzilla in this franchise. Legendary and their teams have more than enough creativity to turn this into a successful franchise without ever touching Toho monsters. If they do use Toho monsters, it's going to be completely forced and contrived and will be a total disservice to Godzilla fans everywhere as well as a major dissapointment.

Besides, how do you modernize the other Toho Kaiju?

The only one that's even remotely plausible is Ebriah, and he's possibly the lamest enemy Godzilla has ever faced.

As for the others... Let's do a quick check!

Mothra, Megaguirus, Battra, Kamakuras, Kumonga are bugs (been there, done that)

Ghidorah is a three headed Dragon (where could there ever be realism in this?)

Hedorah is living sludge (rip-off of the blob)

Destoroyah is a mutated crustacean that somehow survived being bombarded with the oxygen destroyer (how does that even happen when every lifeform on Earth requires oxygen to live? Destoroyah should never have existed in the first place)

Mechagodzilla is a giant mech (been there, done that ((plus it's lame to just make a robot based on Godzilla nowadays. It's been done three times already. It's dead.)))

Anguirus is a mix between a dinosaur and an armadillo (do I even need to ask?)

King Kong (been there, done that ((several times)))

Biollante is a cross between a plant ang Godzilla (plausible, but so unlikely that it's not really worth counting)

King Caesar is some kind of made up God (really?)

Orga, Monster X, and Spacegodzilla are aliens (been there, done that)

Rodan is Rodan (still don't know if he's a pterodactyl or some othe form of Kaiju/dinosaur thing. How do you modernize something without a difinitive origin in the first place?)

Did I miss anyone important?

Seriously, this whole bringing back Toho Kaiju needs to stop. Godzilla, with his nuclear origin, is still largely implausible but because he's become an icon we let it slide. The rest of the Toho monster cast is inexcusable (again, Ebriah being the exception because it's a real life creature that's jumbo sized). They don't belong in this franchise, EVER!

And for those who are wondering, I am in fact a die hard Godzilla fan. I say these things because I care about this franchise as an American franchise and I don't want Toho to ruin it. Toho did great with what they did, and I love every G movie ever made (98 abomination excluded). But Toho needs to be Toho. Legendary needs to stay Legendary. The Toho monsters don't belong in this franchise.

@THEGOJIMAN54 It was suppose to be Junior in an early script draft but toho didnt like it so they scrapped that and gave us a straight up new godzilla. So to you and all those who keeping thinking its junior, its NOT. Case Closed. (P.S. the last shot of junior from GvD in the Main Title Sequence doesnt count as FWGoji being Junior.)

@KYERO lol sorry but you're wrong, the opening for GFW took place in 2004 but the rest took place in 2044. And it starts a new timline like how almost every Millenium film did with only the original film being part of it.

I think green gigan because of his intelligence mainly...the so called upgraded one was beheaded by his own weapon then kamakazied by mothra so ya...if you added the originals thought process in the new one I would like it...it goes to show that flashy weaponry isn't everything

I think jr is godzilla 2004 because of the scene, original story, and body build as well as height but the thing is that he has a hatred to people...is it because of his fathers death

The original had no killer intent......it was an animal no thought process.....that didn't appear until Godzilla vs King Kong (extremely small) and ghidorah the three headed monster.

He's just an anithero throughout the movies.

He does things like stop Space Godzilla and Ghidorah, but goes and and destroys cities and fights the humans just as often so while he's not completely antagonistic he's not the hero either.

again Godzilla and realisticness have never been on good terms......I mean tristar tried to kill him off and give him a new look to make him realistic and we all know how that went...so the hope is that the origin makes sense like the whole godzillasaurus mutated by radiation plot....i mean what you really want is it to make sense so it Appears more real...I mean the black hole gun from Godzilla vs megaguirus? How much sense did that make?

yeah im not sure about him being scared. Zilla was scared. Cloverfield was scared. Godzilla was Sam Jackson in Pulp Fiction, the tyranny of evil men.
