i kind of wanted to call it the neo millenium. it has nothing to do with the matt frank art. neo means rebirth. so rebirth of the millenium godzilla
Godzilla's signature weapon is his distinctive atomic breath. Godzilla's dorsal fins glow ominously, and then he lets loose with a concentrated blast of radiation from his mouth. This power is commonly mistaken for breathing literal fire.
Godzilla has been shown apparently being able to adjust the intensity of his ray, varying from a blast of superheated vapor, such as in the 1950s and 1960s, to a beam with explosive and kinetic properties, in the 1970s and onward. The ray is usually portrayed as being neon blue, though in Godzilla 2000 and Godzilla vs. Megaguirus, it is a reddish orange to signify an increased level of power.
In Godzilla 2000 and Godzilla vs. Megaguirus, Godzilla's atomic breath was shown as having incendiary properties and was strong enough to destroy a miniature black hole, while in Godzilla Final Wars, it possessed incredible range, amazing power and pin-point accuracy, able to hit a target in outer space and kill most kaijuwith a single shot. In a memorable (and somewhat infamous) scene in Godzilla vs Hedorah, Godzilla even used his atomic breath to fly by aiming it at the ground and lifting off like a rocket.
You got any speculations of your own?
exelent! a explication like that will make the atomic breath be more credible in the movie.
And where exactly did he make that statement?
Gareth said this will be a new series and this Godzilla is dubbed the"Bear Goji". So no not Millenium.
This will return Godzilla Atomic Breath for sure (don't get me started on Zilla breathing fire in the scene where he blowes at cars.
Godzilla 2000 is close to 2003 because of 2000's elemts returned.
I'm a zetaboards Godzilla Daikaiju Battle Royale member so updates from alex is posted on the main page.

Godzilla: Monsters of Monsters is a classic always stay in my heart.
Wel if this is true I believe the mutation won't be an insect or the like but something reptilian or thereabouts, maybe an amphibian or possibly even some fish species that has undergone an extreme change.....these however are just my own personal beliefs.
There is no way every1 complained about Bane as the actor Tom Hardy was even complimented on his role by many critics. If there were outcries they were completely silenced by the overwhelming general favor to the movie. Not to say I like TDKR as I found it the weakest batman movie of that trilogy and not a very good movie overall, but I'm in the minority with that I can promise you.
Bane was just an example the point is if realism is included the general audience will look past minor faults with the excuse, "well this made it more realistic" While I'm 100% against a realistic take on the actual monsters and have been ever since that was announced for this movie I'm once again not in the majority. I was just saying it's VERY possible things that made Godzilla himself ex: radioactive breath, invulnerability could all be changed if it better suits the realistic take on the monsters and what the movie is going for. I'm not saying taken away, however this Godzilla may well be harmed by conventional weapons, not to the point of death mind you but there could be visible injuries from it. The radioactive breath could be only used in moderation, ect.
i really don't care about blood(at least unless its over the top, then it gets stupid), as long as they don't cuss for every other word of the movie or have anything explicit(along the lines of what king of zombies said) it ill be just fine, uneccessary F-bombs can so quickly ruin an otherwise good movie. in the end that kind of stuff can cut out huge portions of a movies audiance.
once every 2 or 3 years would be nice. i wonder what the new series would be called...
A new film every year? So we want unpolished, mediocre, rushed movies for this series if it comes to fruition? Forget that. I'd rather wait 5 years for a new movie if it means it will be a better film.
Im thinking scratching/bear slapping, tail whipping and a small dose off atomic breath.
I agree .... but for some odd reason people say he won't have this or that because of the realism and it's sorta ridiculous to me
i agree with godzillasaurus
yes, people seem to be taking the realism too seriously, the monster himself should not be realistic, it simply doesn't work
@GODZILLA_HIMSELF
True. The suits are probably just a security thing. Heck, there is probably no radiation (atleast not yet maybe).
Each year? Yeah no, thats not happening. If Godzilla gets a sequel, it would be between 2016-20XX. Personally, im gonna consider this a millenium movie. There is so many reboots in that series anyway ;)
to those of you confused over the hazmat helmet. hazmat suits DO NOT protect you from radiation. you have to be wearing like ten foot thick concrete armor or something to actually protect you. what they do do, is keep it contained in one area. you don't wear the suit everywhere and so when you are near some kind of radiactive material, your not spreading the material all over the place. what can protect you, is a geiger counter, it will tell you if you are getting to close.how do i know this? because my dad worked worked at a nuclear plant, he even did some things that the hazmats refused to do, so i know about this stuff from him.
@Godzillasaurus,
people aren't calling you a liar, they want to know where you got this info and if it's legitimate.
You stated a rumor as a fact, and we're asking you to back up said fact with references or evidence. Your name-calling won't be winning you any points, either. Let's keep it civil here.
@DOGGIEZILLA
Yeah. Hating Zilla is kinda my joke on this show. Im that one annoying joke on your 80`sitcom that wont stop XD
@LINKZILLA
Thats...Actually true. HA! Im right for once! WOO!
I've never thought of it that way. I'm sure that wasn't intentional but still an interesting idea.
@ZILLAHATER Actually, you're right, the Godzilla vs Zilla fight was too long. If you look carefully the first time Godzilla fires his Atomic Ray, Zilla didn't actually dodge it, Godzilla missed, and Zilla didn't jump until after he fired it, which makes no sense, since Godzilla had good enough aim to hit a target in space from the Earth's surface. In fact, even though he didn't actually hit Zilla, the ray was still close enough that the heat should have fried any monster that's not even immune to tanks and missiles (assuming FW Zilla is as weak as the original). So, in reality, the fight should have lasted a humiliating total of 4 seconds! >:D
The opening theme for All Monsters Attack.
''MI. MI. MINILLAA...''
It's so bad, it's good.
Linkzilla I agree with you 100%! But the dark knight bane isn't to bad...I love his voice...but without his venom it's just not him
@DURP004 Just adding the tag of realism doesn't make it OK to take what is essentialy a completely different character and slap the name of an old (and, ususally, popular) character on it. Contrary to what Hollywood producers (and video game designers, and basically everything else) these days seem to believe, realism doesn't make everything better. In fact, in some cases, it just makes things worse- if a character can't be remade realistically without taking away some of their key traits (like Godzilla's durability and atomic breath, or Bane's superhuman strength), they shouldn't be remade realistically at all. Also, in your example of Bane from TDKR, I don't know what planet you've been living on, but EVERYONE (or at least Batman fans) complained about Bane, as they should have (although I thought the movie was overall a lot better than most people give it credit for).
I'm playing mortal kombat at the moment...and when did the R-rated system become the equivalent of a Friday the 13th movie
Nobody cares the blood, it may have rivers of blood, rains of blood, and it will still being PG-13, because Kids always are playing videogames like mortal kombat and stuff, the only way to make it "R" is to show boobs, sex and teenagers smoking all kind of weeds.
The fans still would have went crazy...you can't strip a character of all his powers to make him real...that just makes it worse...like Spiderman not being able to shoot web to make the movie real or superman not being able to fly..(HEADLINES: SUPERMAN TAKES TAXI TO LEXCORP!!)
My thing is that everyone in my opinion is taking the realistic thing a bit too seriously...like Godzilla throwing a punch will just shatter the boundaries of realism when in fact there already broken because there is a giant dinosaur running around...plus these insects (most of godzillas enemies are bugs)
Tristar never added the tagline of a realistic godzilla to the 98 film. It was simply an american take on the monster. Had they tried and advertised that the movie would be a more realistic approach I doubt they would have received the slack they got from the movie.
I mean either way the door swings it will hopefully be great...if it turns more violent that's fine but like you said it's unnecessary but always great
Say that to zilla...Tristan tried to make him realistic and what did we get?a whole new monster basically
