It won't be R. There are plenty of "dark" movies rated PG-13 and very few R movies get mass toy releases. They want this movie to reach a large audience, PG-13 is a safer bet to secure that hope.

GodzillaFreak's analysis is just some really poor speculation based on the wrong things to focus on.

That said, I'm really happy someone actually sought out this thread instead of making a new one about the topic. Points to MonsterMovieGuy for trying to keep things organized and not making a repeatitive thread just to get attention! Bravo.

I think his breath will be way more powerful and it will probably be either blue or orange (I am hoping blue) and it probably uses up a lot of his energy so he has to recharg after each time he fires his beam.

it is funny how... Legendary Never Announced the Trailer to be December 10th. go back on Legendary twitter and try find to see when did Legendary announced that? Nowhere! We only knew about it because of other Sources were saying that. Legendary never came out & said anything. Actually the Alberta ratings site told us soon we would see a trailer but not when. But only reason why we knew it was the 10th because they were so many Sources claiming they would be

I HIGHLY doubt it will be rated R. From what I have seen it will be PG-13 or from where I am from (Australia) it would be rated M.

It would be pretty badass if the monsters were like Biollante, but since Destroyah is spider like that is why it just reminds me of him. Anyway, can't wait to see what the MUTO's actually look like coz they sound pretty sick!

Considering how close we are to this films release, there will more than likely be another trailer sometime in the next month or so. So its safe to say just about any prediction surrouding mid febuary to early march is pretty accurate. I think those of us with any common sense knows this-- and I understand how rampant fan speculation is on this site... but seriously Kyero, have you converted any one person to your cynical doctorine since you've started posting here?

Just stating the redudancy in your negativity-- and this is coming from a fellow hypocrite. 

If yelling at people made them less annoying, there would be no annoying people. Personally I'd love to see the world "Confirmed" stricken from the all fandoms. I get so irritated how people throw it around like its nothing, but at the same time, I also respect the fact that we have a lot of really excitable , enthusiastic fans on this forum.

Sure we all wish the rabid fan speculation would slow down and more trusted sources would be cited for every bit of 'news'-- but that just isn't how things are going to be. So you have to decide, raise your blood pressure and correct a bunch of people that probably won't even read anything you have to say-- and if they do, they prolly won't take it seriously... or just sit back and learn to laugh at the silliness.

Obviously not for adult collectors, more geared towards kids. Not bad, if it really is as big as they say it is, I'll have to skip out for smaller figures.

I'll be happy the moment we finally see a Monster Arts Godzilla 2014 and MUTO(s).

Quite frankly, what I'm looking forward to is the goofier, sillier toys that might be released. Like plushes and stuff.

Still though, so happy he doesn't have tiny t-rex arms.

I've heard all manner of insanity-- from Godzilla animated series monsters to anguirus on here, to godzilla being 800 ft tall... Tisk-tisk.

I think it should be visible but definitely more realistic.  I agree with the more recent movies having along the lines of what I'd like to see.  Some explosions aren't bad... if you vaporize part of something explosive what doesn't get vaporized would still go boom.  I agree he shouldn't use it that much in the film... although I hope there's one scene where he does go ape-s*** crazy with it since that always demonstrates how powerful he is (think in GMK when he took out the entire army)

really as most of you have pointed out, he has to be near indestructible to all forms of human weaponry including WMDs, i'd suppose the MUTOs could damage him enhancing that only monster/nature can be effective against monsters/nature, i'm hoping he still has his regenerative powers.

i think it should be a comination of the classic blue millenium breath with gman123's idea, where it should be explosive but can instanly vapourize anything near the breaths impact radius. also he shouldn use it very limited in the film to keep it's awe and awsomeness. the concentarted steam may seem realistic but for a huge budget cgi hollywood film most audiences are going to find that a bit boring. (remember dragonabll evolution)

I think that those are really funny. I love the stick figure designs. It actually makes the first three drawings quote humorous. The last one though has to be my favorite though!

Like a, well, "atomic" weapon, I believe that the atomic breath should just be a concentrated stream of instantaneous vaporization of anything it makes contact with bar the largest of rival monsters. No explosions everywhere or a simply pushing debris around. If it collides with a building, it should just leave a big atomic breath width-sized hole that's nearly molten around the edges and causes geiger-counters to go ballistic.

That is an interesting take on it. I sure hope he will be portrayed as a force of destructive nature.

I would love for Godzilla to look down at tanks, or up ant jets and just be unphased.

yeh i agree, the millenium blue godzilla beam seems more powerful and just has an awe to it, the vapour breath from the early showa just seems too weak and unimpressive.

It will most likely be something similar to the Atomic Breath from the more recent Godzilla films. I just hope that the color and sound are the same as the classic Atomic Breath

I can see him getting scared and bitten by a muto. I'm not sure if tanks will do anything. Godzilla seems to have alligator like armored skin which is nearly impoissible to penetrate with a rifle so pretend the tank is a rifle...since Godzilla is much bigger it shouldnt do anything but bounce off

You bring up a good point. I honestly think that Godzilla will only be damaged by one of the Mutos. The reason for my thinking is because Gareth and Elizabeht Olsen have talked about it in interviews. They stated that he is basically a force of nature. If that is the case, I cannot see any artillery hurting him. It is the equivalent of firing artillery at a hurricane or a tornado. They are not going to do anything. If one of the Mutos is near the size or as big as Godzilla though, it could damage him. It would be one force of nature against another.

no trailer by wanerbros is being shown in the super bowl also as gman2887 has said multiple times, putting a trailer during the superbowl is beyond expensive, even for a short teaser, hasn't been proven that super bowl movie trailers boost movie ticket sales and apparently the majority of people who watch the superbowl don't care and probably won't pay attention to a trailer of a big budget movie even if it is godzilla.

I predict that they will have a new trailer during the Superbowl. If you are going to release a trailer in Feb. for a huge Movie like Godzilla, wouldn't that be place to do it?

THAN YOU daikaiju danielle, why is it that everyone wants destoryah or a destoryah like monster just because he is a creature born from the oxygen destoryah, there are better options from destoryah.

It's a completely original monster! I highly doubt it will have any likeness to Destroyah in any way besides being an enemy monster.

I do see a large object immediately after the airport scene. It could be his foot, but it could be a whole different scene/static.

Until we get official conformation from Legendary, I don't believe it.
