The best ones (that I've seen so far) to me are GMK, Godzilla vs. King Gidorah, and Gojira.

wow Godzilla 2014 Rules forum flood. Anyways I think this could be so. 2014 might be with Japan/Phillipines/Hawaii, then forward to 2015 in the movie, the mutos and Godzilla have been gone for a year and they come back--THIS TIME IN SAN FRANSISCO!...AND LA! #GodzillaConfirmed

Now I know another extreme Zilla hater besides Awesomeness360 - ZaffZilla. I see the reasons why you hate her though.

I like Zilla's design.

Im not sure if ETN said it. I also believe it was in the Empire Mag where these images first came from.

I still think it's Godzilla but it is a very interesting theory. Something I picked up when I watch that scene is; when the dorsal fin hits the train track half of the actual fin splits in half and it moves. It is hard to explain but just watch it again and you will notice that the fin actually moves. We will have to wait and see. There are so many mysteries.

Besides the original, I would have to say GMK.

Zilla will always have a special place in my heart. Not sure if this counts as a completely different monster, but Zilla Jr. from Godzilla The Series IMO was an awesome monster. Having traits of Godzilla but the look and speed of Zilla was a great mix.

Zilla is good for his own thing. I wouldn't mind seeing an SH Monsterarts Zilla toy.

This is really cool looking! It reminds me of the Gojira concept art, which shows him having a head resembling a mushroom cloud:

Perhaps Dr. Ichiro is a relative of Daisuke. That could be a really cool way to tie this film in with the original.

I do agree about how you think that happens.  We see him through the smoke, get a good roar and then turns and swings his tail out as he leaves. Most likely the first close encounter that Ford Brody gets with him.

Slower , but more powerful and stronger . zilla is no match for godzilla man! Can't you see that! Faster so what? Size and strength always wins against speed! If zilla does manage to find a way to hey his jaws on godzillas neck? Zilla will learn that godzillas hide is way to strong from zilla a claws and teeth! Zilla can't take to much damage or he will die period! Godzilla survived so much, that zilla would be destroye easily! In that comic strip godzilla out did zilla' godzilla kept coming, and coming while zillas expressions couldn't believe what he was seeing! You try to make zilla equal to godzilla so you can say it would be good fight! Zilla can't beat godzilla it's not happening zilla would get caught in godzillas claws and jaws and be killed my pure insane strength and power! and budy I don't hate the movie, I hate the fact that they called godzilla a fucking LIZARD and made the audience see that! I liked the humor in it, and the French dude.You want to ague or talk more about this battle! Wait till May 16th go see godzilla and then we will have a battle of zilla 98 vs godzilla 2014 and budy your zilla is in a whole lot of trouble from what we seen! :)

I really don't get what people's problem with the Godzilla vs. Zilla fight in Final Wars was. Aside from the fact that Godzilla curbstomped every other monster just as easily (if not as quickly), what do you expect to happen when a creature that has to run away from tanks and helicopters fights a giant indestructible force of nature with an Atomic Heat Ray, incredible strength, and quick reflexes and agility? Really, the Rulers of Earth fight just made no sense - how did Zilla make Godzilla bleed?

No, this has been confirmed by numerous people who were on set that have recently posted interviews (IGN, Collider, ETC.)  that this is China Town in San Francisco, CA.

Sorry for the double post, this site has been very slow lately. It's really pissing me off.

When Ford is falling, I noticed there is a big leg next to him. Did anyone else pick that up? It looks like a muto leg.

I cried a little bit at the end of Godzilla 1985 but Godzilla vs Destroyah had me tearing up for about 15 minutes. It was really sad and I don't normally cry during movies. I watched Godzilla vs Destroyah not that long ago, maybe last week. Very sad.

This project is almost entirely a Legendary/Warner Bros venture. Yes, Toho is involved and approved the final design of Godzilla, but other than that it's out of their hands.

This film is not a sequel or a prequel to any of the Toho films, nor the Tristar Godzilla movie.

So, Dr. Ichiro Serizawa? That means this Serizawa is NOT simply a character sharing the name. I wonder if this fact signifies anything else....

To tell you all the truth the only problem with the movie were 2 things

1. It copied some traits from jurassic park

2.they called it godzilla

Other than that it was an ok movie.
