THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS
MemberMothra LarvaeMar-28-2014 4:51 PMi realize this isn't the most original idea, but I thought we could all enjoy a countdown. Cinemassacre did something like this already, but I wanna do it Anyway to count down to May 16th. Starting on April 17th, I will watch a Godzilla movie daily and post a video on my youtube channel, Godzilla599. I will be watching all 29 Godzilla movies (including 1998) until May 15th, and will finish with my own spoiler free thought video on the new movie. I will also put the videos on this website if that's cool with the moderators.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-28-2014 9:53 PMCome on, @NIGHTARIES3030 I think we have all seen cinemassacre's godzillathon. Frankly, I thought they were short and not a lot of thought was put in. I want to watcha godzilla movie daily and post a video just to talk about it with all of you guys. I want us all to come together on youtube and this site to talk about why we are here in the first place. James Rolfe had an entire movie paid for by his worshippers, so I think he has plenty of support. give me a chance

AdminGodzillaMar-28-2014 10:27 PMYeah, Cinemassacre's videos were fairly poor. I didn't agree on many occasions with those. I look forward to your material Destroyer of Worlds. If you ever wish to have a guest cast about a couple of specific movies I'm sure some reputable people here would enjoy helping. Might make things interesting.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-28-2014 11:08 PMUGH. I want to watch all the films and do it as a countdown but I still don't have them!!!! Ugh. Just ugh.

MemberBaragonMar-28-2014 11:17 PMTo be fair to James a lot of those videos he had to shorten and possibly feign ignorance to make them more entertaining. I've heard him talk about the movie in other outlets and he's very knowledgable about the stories contrary to his synopsises on his godzilla thon.
As for your godzillathon good luck, I would one myself but not very tech savy, nor to I believe they'd get more than a few views. i'd much rather use a board where people can openly share their sentiments as well.

Get them!
@Durp004
You should try hooking contacts with people who are tech savvy. Some discussion amongst friends/collegues about the subject is usually very entertaining.

MemberBaragonMar-29-2014 1:31 AMUnfortunately I wouldn't be the best reviewer. Depending on how much I like a film or dislike a tend to go on about points.
For instance when if I ever did this and got to GMK I could go on and on about all the personal problems I had with the movie and everything I disliked leaving people to think it was a horrible movie and I hated it, when I don't think it's horrible by any means, just not my preference and I get a decent amount of joy watching it. Granted not as much as other entries, but it's there.
Best leave the reviewers to the more unbiased people who would point out the pros and cons rather than some1 like me who would either have an hour long review talking about hw much I honestly love a movie and everything I liked ignoring any negative, or and hour long review pointing out every single thing I found wrong with it ignoring the great things it did

If only it were that easy. Trust me, if I had the money to buy them right this istant, I would do it. However, my parents can't buy them and I'm REALLY LOW on the money I've earned. (Like I said before, I own a lizard and he drains me of a lot of it). As soon as I make a little more, I am planning on getting at least one for now.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 8:17 PM@DESTROYER OF WORLDS this is a great idea! I'm doing something similar in the month running up to release day as I'm going on a temporary hiatus from all new Godzilla '14 news/videos etc from that date 'til I see the film. So basically I'm not watching all of the Godzilla films, because honestly I don't really enjoy them all (is that bad?). But I will be watching 16 of them. So will keep an eye on your channel & follow the marathon day by day & share my thoughts on the ones I do watch. This is gonna be awesome. What a month we have in store :) :)

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-06-2014 11:22 PMI'm hoping to have a marathon with my uneducated-on-Godzilla friends. I'm planning on showing them Godzilla (1954), Godzilla 1985, and Godzilla: Final Wars. I feel like these will establish where he started, what a rebirth looked like 30 years later like the new one, and what the last Godzilla film was like.
