Hello there. I've a simple question regarding the various new beasts Godzilla will be sqauring-off against in Edwards' upcoming film. Do any of you suppose that any of the MUTO organisms will mimic Godzilla's appearnce in some fashion? I only ask this because I've recently read an article stating that a scene in the lastest theatrical trailer - the moment in which the soldiers are leaping from the train bridge to avoid a massive dorsal scute tearing through the structure - does not, in fact, feature Godzilla. I found that to be strange as that dorsal ridge looked a great deal like Godzilla's. As always, your thoughts and conjecture are appreciated, even if you keep them to yourself. :)

Interesting theory but I doubt that would be a mechanism of the mutos power

You're absolutely right, GODKILLA2000. I doubt it would be a power as well. However, I've a thought that one of the enemy Kaiju might actually be mimetic when compared to Godzilla himself; there might be intersting similarities that are simply a part of both creatures' physiology - perhaps due to the similar time frame in which their DNA first arose in the remote past. Just a thought. A bit fanciful. But just a thought. ;)

If you watch the scene closely it seems like the thing that hits the bridge comes from above. There's also the fact that if it was walking under the bridge it wouldn't make sense for the soldier to leap off a bridge that is for the most part above a monster as opposed to jumping off to avoid an attack from above

I still think it's Godzilla but it is a very interesting theory. Something I picked up when I watch that scene is; when the dorsal fin hits the train track half of the actual fin splits in half and it moves. It is hard to explain but just watch it again and you will notice that the fin actually moves. We will have to wait and see. There are so many mysteries.

Hey! That's...extremely compelling, DEADITE KAIJU! I've watched it a few times now in depth and it appears that you're right. Fascinating!
