I actually hope he scares me in this movie so I can forget about all of the silliness of Godzilla in the past. But don't get me wrong, I like the silly stuff it's entertaining, but IMO it'll be easier to watch a serious reboot if we don't think of that silly stuff when watching him... you know, destroy stuff, and Edwards even said he's an anti-hero, I mean c'mon did you really want to give the T-Rex a high five when she killed those Raptors? Not if you wanted to keep that hand, or your whole body really. my point is I think it'll be like the T-Rex where we were terrified but also glad she saved the humans (sorta). If you saw the wondercon footage you might understand, because when he killed all of those people with that tidal wave noone cheered but when another monster was killing people and then Godzilla came and everyone applauded, so yeah I guess we'll like him in certain parts, but not when people are drowning.

@DURPOO4 - Ignoring thread rules because you disagree? Now thats dumb. We've already explained why those rules are in place. If you don't agree then you probably shouldn't try and debate here. 

WARNING: LONG NERDY OBSERVATION 

Godzilla is a force of nature in this movie, so we should definitely be afraid of him but not antagonize him. Take real life disasters like hurricane Katrina and tornadoes for example, when they happen and people die it's not like we wanna hunt down these forces of nature and kill them (mostly cuz it's impossible) because it's a part of everyday life and is proof mother nature is still in charge.

Godzilla in this movie is essentially that, a confused animal with a specific goal that human beings keep trying to stop him from doing simply because we don't understand him and don't wanna take the risk he could want to wipe us out. Godzilla's personality in this film is the wrath of God, he's here to be himself and we're just in the way. 

So in a way, yes we should be terrified of Godzilla, but not like a horror movie villian or a serial killer; like a tsunami that's on it's way to our town or a massive lightening storm. But whether or not we "root" for him or not is because we're Godzilla fans and that's about it. Welp, that's my point of view anyway; so terribly sorry about the length. XD

imho, I think godzilla'll take a massive hit like in G2k then the movie'll focus on the humans fighting the MUTOs before the king himself regenerates and saves their skins! good idea?

Good news that the military would not destroy Godzilla. If Godzilla existed he would be the most powerful military weapon. But I don't know if Godzilla should be threaten as a military weapon.

The reason I ignored the CIS/PIS aspect is because it's a stupid thing to bring to a debate like this. When there are multiple Godzillas making appearances is as few as 1 movie you can't throw out plot convenience and character stupidity as that literally almost eliminates any evidence most Godzillas could have. Most of these rules for that matter don't really help the debate as I could argue against all of them.

As I said PIS/CIS is a dumb things to have as it removes evidence. Almost anything can fall under that depending how you look at it. To look at Final Wars ignore everything and look at only 1 fight is fairly dumb. Burning Godzilla himself is an example of PIS as throughout the heisei Godzilla got upgraded by a nuclear sub, Rodan, Spacegodzilla, and blowing up Uranuim deposits on Bass Island, so if we're really taking that into consideration Burning Godzilla shouldn't on the list to choose. I could go on and on giving examples of those 2 but they seriously don't need to be in a debate about power, it takes away evidence and potential topic, and gives some Godzilla incarnations a better chance than others depending what direction that director of the movie went with.

When you refer to feats are you talking about 1 monster? Well let's look at Final Wars feats. Fought monster x to a standstilll basically then would have lost to Keizer Ghidorah. Not all the impressive.

Heisei Godzilla: Fought Biollante while being infected with ANEB. Killed Ghidorah a much larger monster then himself then fough the future version with advanced tech. Reflected back mechaG's electricity the first time they met in GvsMGII. Took on a clone that was made from the most extreme conditions possible. Can't include Burning Godzilla since as I pointed out he himself is an example of PIS according to the examples we have, but even without him the feats heisei or even showa for that matter outclass that of the 1 fight Final Wars had.

Guys do you think the Mutos came from the M.U.T.O. or they were find by the company? Honestly I can see the Mutos originating from M.U.T.O., they are even shown on a trailer in a computer as Muto 1 and Muto 2 (eight legged and winged).

Yeah I can see the Mutos having something to do with the M.U.T.O. company.

All jokes aside, I loved Gorgo! That was a fantastic answer to Godzilla. And the monster looked great. Anyone notice how similar GAPPA was to GORGO? 

I think you have done a great job. If you are young, like you say, and that's where you are at, then in time you will be amazing! FACT! just stick with it. And keep drawing Godzilla! 

I have a feeling that he is not going to be invincible cause Gareath Edwards wants to make this movie as realistic as possible but I can guarantee that he will be super badass.
