Superman was caught in a nuke in "The Dark Knight Returns" and it damn near killed him. he looked like a moving corpse.
Good advice. I also want to be a filmmaker when I am older too. I wanna be a director/producer.

Should also be noted that you can check out the posters in the Godzilla 2014 Posters Gallery here on the site as well, as it also contains both promotional banners AND consumer grade posters, like this one:

Gman is right, but for the sake of answering the questions above:
1 - Yes, I'll open up the reviewing on May 14th @ 12:00am, so any UK viewers can write and rate their review of Godzilla ASAP.
2 - YES, the review section for Godzilla on Scified, is the place to post your spoiler-ific reviews. Because the review previews never reveal the full wall of text, you must click to view - so you can't accidentally, spam the title with a spoiler. The reviews are better organized and easier to manage than forum topics, so yes, you'll be free to share / discuss whatever spoilers you like in your review.
When reviewing is open, you'll see a GREEN tab in the row of tabs on the movie page I linked above, and it will say "Rate & Review". From there you'll be able to rate the film on a scale of 1 - 5 (.5's are allowed) as well as write a lengthy, or short review(your choice).
I suggest everyone who is thinking of reviewing the film, check out our Movie Database and click on some movies which have been released, so you can see how the reviews section works. Also, you can check out our Reviews Page to see a selection of the latest reviews submitted.
SPOILER!!!
Chech this first:
San Francisco was also pieced together on the backlot at CMPP. On one backlot set, Paterson redesigned an existing cityscape set to portray a small Chinatown street, and also built the entrance to a giant sinkhole beneath Chinatown, which is Ford’s target when he plunges with a HALO [High Altitude - Low Opening] team into the city.
The chaotic sinkhole set itself, which Edwards called the “Dragon’s Den,” was built inside a soundstage, and dressed to overflow with crashed cars, chunks of buildings and other debris. After shooting was completed on this sequence, the set was repurposed to portray the massive cavern beneath the collapsed Philippine mine where scientists Graham and Serizawa gain their first insight that something massive and unknown has been released into the world. “We discover that this cave isn’t really a natural cave—it’s a giant ribcage, with bones that loom 25 feet in the air,” Paterson describes. “It’s a good place to start the story, in a sense. The genie has been let out of the bottle.”
And this:
"As Graham and Serizawa move deeper through the mountain, they discover that the entire cave system once encased the carcass of a giant creature, but that it also held something else. And at its end, they are shocked to discover that the mountain has been blown out from within, giving way to a pulverized trench etched through the forest, leading straight to the ocean."
Finally:
Edwards observes that shooting both sequences within the same soundstage reflects some of the symmetry woven into the film’s DNA. “What Graham and Serizawa observe within the giant ribcage at the beginning of the film, and what Ford sees in the Dragon’s Den near the end are linked in the story,” he says. “So in a way, it felt like going full circle.”

What do you think? The dragon's liar, the huge skeleton, the "thing" that "born" from the giant carcase!!!
Thanks. I forgot to add the IMAX poster. It's up now.

@Kage432- And that is why you inspired me to make this thread.
@dynamicpeanut - This is San Francisco, that's one of the Embarcadero Buildings. I'm SO ready for this movie!
"after the MUTO ran away"?? do you know something we don't? I'm pretty sure Godzilla beats these monsters up
^^With that roar he did in the trailer, I'd say he killed that MUTO.
Wow not like that god no! I mean like how a snake might open it's mouth to eat it's prey, but in godzilla's case he's shooting an atomic breath.
Yeah, I think it is the same as the nature has order ending. When do you think this is though? I think it's in hawaii, the battles been happening all night and this is godzilla leaving, after the muto has ran away.
@CHRIS PICARD Can the reviews page open at 10:30? I am going to the 8:00 night showing for the pre screening on the 15th, and I would like to make the first review without any spoilers.
@MAGGLESHACKLE - No. Please....not the whole Orga thing. That was too much. My body wasn't ready for it. Its not sexy...its not sexy like it should be.

Based on the iamge and toy I think godzilla's mouth might also open up wider then previous movie's so godzilla couldn't harm himself.
Holy Wall of Text Batman!
That puts even some of my long winded posts to shame.
My only suggestion would be editing your OP just include a link to the article. Maybe a SHORT summary, with some of your thoughts. But as it stands, the sheer size of this post will turn some people off to reading it.
That being said, after wading through it, yeah, it's actually a very cool and interesting article. I really enjoyed it. It's not super spoiler heavy, choosing to go into a deeper depth of elements we already know and give us more information about those, rather than talk a whole about things that haven't been revealed yet, so that's a pretty neat balance.
Great Find!
I wonder if he can make a mushroom cloud with it. That would look nice and terrifying to the main cast.
@MADISON - I can see that last bit happening. I can see it a litle too well D: You should have put a spoiler alert before that paragraph lol!
Reading that felt completing. I can't wait to see the epic conclusion to Godzilla's struggle with the Muto!
I think the breath attacks will be weaker than in previous films (no shooting monsters into outer space or anything like that). But I think it will still be strong enough to finish the job agains the Muto, who won't have insane durability.
I think the breath will still be beam like, but maybe not a straight column of energy. Maybe less controlled, like wavy or pulsing, or stray particles spraying off in a mist away from the main beam, or something.
The biggest difference, I think will be the mechanic of how often it can be used. He won't be able to just shoot it whenver like previous (especially Heisei) Godzillas. I imagine it only being an ability that activates due to high stress, and has some kind of drawback or cooldown, which will discourage overuse.
I personally imagine Godzilla getting beat down by the Muto's, just like the Mutos have beat down Godzilla's in the past. But this Godzilla, unlike past Godzillas, has the atomic breath ability (perhaps developed as a result of our 1954 tests)....and in a last ditch act of desperation, Godzilla uses it to vanquish the Mutos...to the Mutos surprise and peril.
I think that would be a cool camera shot, Godzilla on the ground, getting wailed upon, and his fins start to light up, and the Muto eyes widen in a "What the hell???" sort of way, and then FWOOSH!!! IN DA FACE!!!!!
Anyways, that's just me. I don't actually know. I'm actually glad I don't know, unlike the new Spiderman movie where there isn't a surprise left in the thing.
I did a quick google/youtube search of the *spoiler* and I'm still not quite sure what that would like coming out of Godzillas mouth lol As long as it's blue and visible I'll probably end up liking it.
Facinating but I feel like they would try to do the same thing G-force did in Godzilla VS SpaceGodzilla (1994). And if you saw the movie than you know how well that worked! lol
According to the leaked script
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
They say it would be somewhat napalm like. Like you said in the topic earlier
*SPOILERS END*
I honestly think it will be pretty devastating. Considering the fact that it's nuclear energy combined into one focused beam.
I think 2014 Godzilla will be scarier in the horror movie sense, just because as an audience we've gotten acclimated to films so much, it takes more to genuinely scare us.
That, and with the fear of the Cold War over, and our understanding of the workings of nuclear radiation more scientifically developed, it's harder to have the 'fear of the bomb' now than back then.
So 2014 Godzilla will probably be better at offering jump scares and building a sense of dread.
The 1954 Godzilla is probably a scarier monster to think about actually existing. The way it gave off radiation poisoning and how it seemed to be driven to destroy just to destroy, instead of behaving more like an animal like Godzilla 2014 will.
But yeah, it will be hard to get a verdict in until we see the movie.
GODZILLA_2014_RULES I understand that you want to make topics and keep everyone updated but, as I've said quite a lot, there's a merchandising thread that deals with stuff like this. Ask this question here:
OFFICIAL GODZILLA (2014) MERCHANDISING THREAD!
Topic Closed
Chris can we post spoilers in the section?
It also gives the lesson for not using nuclear weapons.
Zaffzila I think the 54 Godzilla is scarier because he was introduced as a nightmare from world war 2.
You don't have to care about what I think of your title. It's still what I think of your title.
I'm equally allowed to post my dislike for your content as you are allowed to post poor content. I'm not trying to stop you. Just letting you know what I think. That will happen on a forum. Sorry if that irks you.
KAGE432 this goes in the Godzilla Meme Thread, post it here:
Everyone (including KAGE432) I expect better behaviour from all of you. I don't care what your intentions are in your comments, you express it nicely and treat each other correctly.

@MADISON - First of all, didn't say anyone had to like it, I said stop trying to be an ass, your failing. You think your telling me anything I don't already know? Do not insult my intelligence again. Mad at my title? Deal with it. I don't give a flying Hokmuto what you over thought about what I should have put in its place. Still wasting time on this thread that clearly doesn't concern you? Be a big man and take you're leave please.
I actually think it's cute though. srs.
