GODZILLA 98 IS THE BEST GODZILLA!!!

There I said it!

Why?

Because it's True!

Godzilla fans only hate him because they can't accept that he's better than the original!

Here are reasons for why he's better:

-Godzilla 98 is more realistic, Old Godzilla is fake and goofy!

-It's different from the originals and is experimental, which, according to Reiwa series fans, automatically makes it good!

-He doesn't shoot dumb blue beams from his mouth.

-Godzilla 98 is slim and can run really fast, while Old Godzilla is fat and slow.

-Godzilla 98 is nice and doesn't try to destroy cities, old Godzilla is a big bully who constantly stomps cities because he's insecure about himself.

-Godzilla 98 actually gave birth to his babies, Old Godzilla just kidnapped some random kid he found.

-Godzilla 98's babies are like cool raptors, old Godzilla's son looks like an Elmo mixed with poop.

-Godzilla 98 is made with awesome CGI and Animatronics, while old Godzilla is a big rubber suit filled with sweat, and that's gross!

So Toho and Legendary need to stop making Godzilla films and let Tristar continue their masterpiece!

Because this guy stinks!

In all honesty while I am poking fun at Godzilla 98, I have to admit that I do actually enjoy the movie to a certain extent. It completely misses the point of the original Godzilla and is technically a bad adaptation of the character. But at the same time there are moments where it is a somewhat entertaining monster movie. It was actually the first giant monster movie I ever saw as a kid and was one the things that introduced me to the Godzilla series (the others being toys, the animated series, the Blue Oyster Cult song, and various clips of the Toho movies that I would occasionally see on TV), so without it I might not be the Godzilla/Giant monster fan I am Today. So even though it's technically not that good of a movie (though I don't think it's as bad as its reputation), I kind of owe a lot to it.

I relate to that. While it wasnt mt first movie, i was definitely a fan of Zilla for a while.

The design is great. Thats mainly why.

I actually think the design could've worked for Godzilla. If they had made him more upright, a bit bulkier, maybe toned down some of the more iguana-like features, as well as making him stronger and giving him atomic breath (like they did in the animated series), he could have been a good reinterpretation of Godzilla.

One thing i really liked about it was the theropodal posture. In fact I do think that most of my godzilla drawings would be in that stance for a while.

I don't mind the theropod posture, although the more upright posture would feel more inline with the classic Godzilla. I think if the posture was somewhere in between the typical Godzilla posture and the theropod posture it would look cool.

Pretty much. I really liked how the animated series had a good medium of him going in between the two postures.

Agree, it still fits the man vs nature theme of the godzilla films.
