Godzilla: Origins. Chapter 1 [part 2]

*This story takes place 252 million years before the events in Godzilla(2014).

It had been a few hours since the newborn first came into being. The majority of that time framewas taken up by the newborn figuring out how to work his jaws to consume the food placed in front of it. Eventually the gift of hearing came to the little one and it was able to hear a low humming sound and the occasional grunt from the tall creature in front of it. 

         When the youngling was able to finish its meal, it started to work on more complicated movements. It attempted to use its arms and legs to stand on all fours, but found that its limbs were too weak to support it and fell back onto its stomach. The mountainous creature infront of it suddenly lurched forward. This was the first time the newborn was able to get a good look at its  Face. A squarish, lizard like face peered at the newborn with relatively small eyes. The creature's Face was bathed in the blue light it emitted from its back. The adult creature carefully nudged the newborn backwards several feet, it then turned(being careful that its large tail did not crush the Newborn) and exited the cave.

           The newborn had sat for an hour in the cave, attempting twice more to stand before giving up, when it suddenly heard a loud crunching noise In the rocky enclosure. The sound of breaking Rocks came from the ceiling and a small skittering sound reverberated on the walls. The Newborn gave a small squeak and attempted to Shuffle to the exit of its enclosure. It was about Halfway there when a creature about its size Landed in front of it. The creature was insect like, With a triangular head, a slug like abdomen, and Four legs to support it. The creature didn't have Eyes, instead having dim white lights shining From both sides of its head. The creature gave A small crackling growl and began to walk Towards the newborn. The newborn gave a Louder squeak and tried to shuffle desperately Backwards. The creature was almost upon it When the newborn heard a deafening roar come From where the entrance to the enclosure was. The sound nearly defeaned the newborn and Caused the insect creature to turn around.

A large, grey, clawed hand reached in from the darkness of the entrance and grabbed the insect, Pulling it towards the darkness. A small crunch could be heard and the hand came back, depositing a grey sludge in from of the newborn.

The little monster shuffled forwards to consume its next meal....
