What Do You Think Of The Plane?

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-02-2019 11:50 AMI was watching the Godzilla King Of the Monsters trailer when I saw this. This plane is in the trailer a lot. It is almost in every scene with Rodan. Some fans say that this might be Super X. What do you think this is?

MemberRodanMar-02-2019 5:16 PMIt is a jet called the ARGO, at it's purpose is to lead Rodan to King Ghidorah
Zwei Wing is the best singing duo. Change my mind.

MemberBaragonMar-02-2019 5:47 PMAt it least it looks more aerodynamic than Super Xs in the Heisei series. Don't get me wrong, I like the Super X design in the Heisei series, but no way it could have flown with such an unaerodynamic design.

MemberRodanMar-02-2019 5:59 PMUnless the Super X had magnetic levitation or jet propulsion, the Super X would literally be useless.

AdminGodzillaMar-02-2019 10:19 PMThe original Super X was an advance hover craft. Jet propulsion got it to move forward, while the turbines could shift to reverse.
There's less availability on the Super X2's specs, but it was technically no faster than the Super X. (Both could reach mach 1.) However, it looks like the Super X2 had the same configuration for flight, with the exception of carrying four extra hover turbines. I've heard they were added to compensate for the weight of the Fire-Mirror, but can't find a source for it.
The Super X3 was based on the Northrop heavy bomber and, like the Northrop, is powered by jet propulsion. However, it's more heavily armored and much faster. (Mach 1.7.) It should be noted that G-Force had been using technology from 2204 up to this point though.

AdminGodzillaMar-03-2019 12:30 PMI did say "advance" hovercraft. This is a franchise with impossibly giant monsters afterall.

MemberBaragonMar-04-2019 7:14 AMI honestly did think that the ARGO was some sort of Monsterverse Super-X at before they said that it was called the "ARGO"

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-05-2019 10:29 PMHey as long as you have enough thrust and surface area to provide lift, "looking" like it's aerodynamic isn't necessary !

MemberBaragonMar-06-2019 6:36 PMI think we all might be over-thinking this a little too much, hehe.
