MemberMothra LarvaeSep-01-2017 1:31 AMKatsumi Tezuka turns 105 years old. Tezuka did the Stunt double for Godzilla in the original Gojira (1954) and played Anguirus in Raids again (1955) and many other Toho monsters with Haruo Nakajima.
I wonder why this man does not get as much attention as all the other Godzilla actors not even the most Hardcore fans such as Matt Frank or the guy from Fresh Vinyl don't seem to be aware of him.
This man played the original Godzilla and is 105 years old now, that ain't significant? but anyway....

AdminGodzillaSep-01-2017 5:57 AMMatt is very much aware of him--It's simply that Nakajima continued the legacy of Godzilla and experimented with the character for two decades while also having input on the suit creation process.
But you're right, Tezuka is awesome as well and certainly deserves credit for helping begin the Godzilla/kaiju legacy and making his mark in the series. Happy birthday to another wonderful artist.
