Is Godzilla Resurgence a horror film?

i believe its even stated by the director he will be a nightmare so i assume this is a traditional japanese horror movie

MONSTERMOVIEGUY - I happen to feel that Shin-Gojira is going to be a very startling film! I do not believe it will necessarily be "horror". However, I am convinced by what I have presently seen that it will be disquieting! :)

I don't think it will be "horror" in that it scares you, like say Exorcist, but I do hope it will be horrifying, as in Schindler's List... only with a Kaiju.

I'd like to see brutal violence, harsh injuries to people, graphic depictions of burns & radiation poisoning, and so forth.  I'd like to see how the entire Japanese economy & way of life get turned upside down by Godzilla.  Famine, civil unrest, radiation poisoned refugees etc..

Aftereffects of Godzilla should look like the worst case scenarios of nuclear fallout.

yes. the 54 movie was intended to be a horror flm... so yeah.
