Interested to find out what everyones 5 favorite Toho Daikaiju are. They can be for whatever reason you want.

1) Godzilla: Solid giant monster. I had to think about this before putting him at #1 (he almost lost out to Anguirus). He isn't always the strongest, but his endurance just never ends. Add in his awesome atomic breath and you start to see the reason he has been around for so long.

2) Anguirus: How can you not love this guy? He has no real super powers, but is happy to stand toe to toe agains monsters he has not chance of defeating. His scrappyness is what does it for me. Can you beat this?

3) King Ghidorah: You know he has to be in the top 5. He is a great giant monster. Who doesn't love a giant 3 headed dragon that shoots lightning bolts randomly everywhere? Also, something about this guy lets you know that the movie will be good, as he is consistantly in some of the best Toho Godzilla movies.

4) Titanosaurus: Besides Godzilla, this guy has my favorite Daikaiju roar. Similar to Anguirus he has no super powers, but is still formitable with his wind tail attack.

5) Hedorah: While the social commentary about polution is beat over your head a little too much during his movie, the idea of a polution monster is really great. He is hard to kill and at one point almost drowns godzilla in polution.

5. Monster X

I know that a lot of people may not like him for whatever reason, but Final Wars was the second or third Godzilla film I had actually seen. When he appeared after Goji took out the asteroid, I instantly fell in love with him. The threatening design, his capability to bring FWGoji to his knees with one attack, and the rather clunky Keizer Ghidorah transformation are only a few of the things that I love about this kaiju.

4. Kiryu

A cyborg with one of the coolest backstories, Kiryu holds the number 4 spot on my list for its Absolute Zero Cannon, sleek design, and overall bada** appearance in both GodzillaXMechaG and Tokyo:SOS.

3. Destoroyah

What better way to follow up the original Godzilla than the embodiment of the object that killed him? Destoroyah is in my opinion, one of Godzilla's most memorable foes. It killed Junior AND tanked multiple Spiral Rays (despite getting his chest, y'know, blown off), a feat that no other villain to date has acheived. It is only number 3 for one reason though, and that is the fact that it was completely obliterated by the military, a kill that I firmly believe could have gone to Burning Godzilla.

Basically Audrey with the head of a Mosasaurus and the ability to spit radioactive acid. 'Nuff said.

Since we're not including mechanical monsters, I'll go with:

5. Rodan

One of Godzilla's coolest allies and adversaries. Has proven his toughness by going toe-to-toe with Godzilla on more than one occasion, has gotten in the face of King Ghidorah on more than one occasion, and even took on MechaGodzilla 93 on his own. Also one of the few Toho kaiju to star in his own film.

4. Anguirus

Classic first opponent for Godzilla who has also proven his toughness, bravery, and loyalty on several occasions. I'm surprised that he hasn't appeared in more of the recent Godzilla films though he originally was scheduled for GMK before Toho vetoed his appearance.

3. King Ghidorah

Awesome and classic Godzilla rival that just came across as an overwhelming threat, especially in the Showa series. His flight ability, size, wingspan, and gravity bolts make him an impressive package.

2. Destroyah

Just looks like pure evil and very tough to beat. Would love to see him come back against a healthier Godzilla and see how that battle goes.
