Godzilla Wars: Aftermath- Chapter 10

     The familiar, high-pitched crackle echoes throughout the island. Godzilla looks around, waving his tail in anticipation. Seconds later, a large, bat-like creature darts out of the beam. It glides towards Godzilla before slashing the top of his head. Wincing in pain, Godzilla attempts to hit it with his tail. He misses, and the creature slashes Godzilla again.

     Rodan screeches and flies toward the creature. He flies high in the air before darting back down and divebombing the creature. Screeching, the creature looks up as a bright pink beam hits him. Falling back, it watches as Rodan drives his beak into its chest. Screeching in pain, it forces Rodan off with its scythes. However, it’s immediately met by a blast from Godzilla’s Atomic Breath. It gets up and glides towards Godzilla, slashing him. However, Godzilla is able to force him back with a few bites and slashes.

     Screeching, the creature attempts to fight back. It charges an EMP blast in its scythe, and slams the glowing red appendage onto the ground. Stumbling back a bit, Godzilla quickly whips the creature with his tail. Wincing in pain, it attempts to get up as Godzilla approaches it. However, both creatures hear another high-pitched crackle, and look up. They see another creature exit from the beam- the first creature’s mate, the female MUTO.

     Screeching, the creature charges Godzilla as the male MUTO crawls away. She slashes the King of the Monsters with her scythes, but is drawn back as Mothra begins to attack her. The MUTO slashes at Mothra, but the Divine Moth fights back, biting and scratching the prehistoric parasite. Eventually, Mothra clamps her jaws on the back of the MUTO’s neck and begins to fly back, bringing the female MUTO to the ground. The creature feels Mothra let go, but watches as Anguirus suddenly pounces on her underside.

    Slashing the creature away, the female Muto gets up, but watches as Anguirus rears up onto his hind legs. Roaring, he swipes his claws at the female’s face. Wincing, she feels a set of powerful jaws clamp around her neck. Wincing, she the thrashes around, attempting to free herself. Eventually, Anguirus brings her to the ground and removes his jaws. The female MUTO immediately slashes his neck, causing Anguirus to stumble back. However, following this attack, he growls and rams the MUTO with his horn. After this, he rips off one of her small front arms with his powerful jaws. However, before he can continue, a Maser jet squadron forces him back.

     Healed by the island’s radiation, the male MUTO gets up and flies around. Spotting Rodan, he stealthily approaches, charging up an EMP blast. Rodan fails to defend himself in time as the glowing red scythe slashes into him, causing him to fall to the ground. However, as he falls, he swipes his talons at the MUTO, lightly cutting the prehistoric parasite. After watching Rodan fall, he flies to Godzilla and bites his neck, Wincing in pain, the King of the Monsters attempts to pry the MUTO off as it begins to slash him. Eventually, it lets go after Godzilla tears one of its wings a bit. Flying with a bit more effort, it feels the painful sting of Godzilla’s powerful tail as it flies off. The force breaks one of its hind legs, but the MUTO escapes.

     Looking around, the MUTO spots his mate fighting off Baragon and Gorosaurus. She’s slowly losing the battle, so the male goes in to help. He lands on Gorosaurus, biting the top of his neck. He continues the attack by slashing the giant dinosaur, and eventually pushes off and flies away, forcing Gorosaurus to the ground as the female gets up and attacks Baragon.

     Watching Baragon slowly lose to the female MUTO, Battra flies in, firing his Prism Beams at the creature. Wincing in pain, the female watches as Mothra flies in to aid Battra. Working together, the two bite and slash the creature, and eventually bring her to the ground as Battra uses his Electric Grab. However, the male flies in from behind and slashes Battra. Mothra begins to bite and scratch the creature’s back, forcing him off. All the monsters look up as a loud roar fills the air. Looking up, they see the King of the Monsters approach the battle.

     Charging, he tail-whips the male on to the female, and then stomps on the two. As they begin to get up, Godzilla charges up his Atomic Breath. He fires a long, powerful blast of his Atomic Breath, wincing at the powerful beam burns at his throat from the EMPs of the creatures. Eventually, the two are burnt to a crisp, and Godzilla lets out a roar of victory.

     Hearing another screech, Godzilla looks up. Coming out of the smoke is Rodan. However, he’s no longer the same pterosaur. He has completed his transformation into Fire Rodan.
