MemberBaragonMar-17-2015 9:09 PMHey there, guys!
Well, it’s that time of year again… G-FEST is only four months away!!!! And just a few hours ago, the G-Fan website updated with the long awaited announcement of this year’s special guests! So far, they are as follows:
-Masaaki Tezuka (Director of Godzilla vs Megaguirus (2000), Godzilla X Mechagodzilla (2002), and Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. (2003))
-Bin Furuya (Suit actor who played Ultraman in 1966, appeared as a member of the Ultra Garrison in Ultra Seven, and recently appeared in the films Ultra Galaxy Legends: The Movie and Monster X Strikes Back)
-Yoshikazu Ishii (assistant Special Effects Director on Godzilla: Final Wars (2004), and effects director on Ultraman Ginga and Daimajin Kanon)
-August Ragone (Japanese film historian extraordinaire and author of “Eiji Tsuburaya: Master of Monsters”)
-Robert Scott Field (a fixture of the convention since 1999, and, of course, M11 in Godzilla vs King Ghidorah (1991), and narrator of the upcoming Kaiju Gaiden)
Check out the G-FEST Guest List here, and check this thread often for more updates, as more guests are likely to be announced!
So… who’s excited?!?! Who is going this year? How pumped are you to meet these guys?! Bring on the discussion!

MemberBaragonMar-17-2015 10:09 PM^Me too! This is an exciting list!!!! Masaaki Tezuka is a guy I've wanted to meet for a long time now, as I love his films and have a lot of respect for him as a filmmaker. And it will be great to see Bin Furuya again!
Personally, I'm anxious to see who Mark Jaramillo brings this year as part of his Independent Kaiju Prject. In 2013, it was Shizuo Nakajima (Wolfman vs Godzilla), and last year it was Shinpei Hayashia (Gamera 4, Reigo, Raiga). I wonder who he will bring this year...
