I am for it and kinda not. If they don't call it Godzilla I'm fine. If the acting and CGI isn't terrible I'm fine. If Zilla dies from Missles I'll lose it. Bascially if it was a reboot of "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms" just modernized. That's what Godzilla (1998) should have been.

If there's going to be a Zilla reboot, they should make it GTS style

Although I happen to be a defender (in some ways) of the 1998 film, a reboot is about as likely to happen me getting a ride to school this week on Gamera's back... EL ZIPO. Toho wants that film, and everything involved with it, burried as deep as they can get it, and that, combined with how detested the film is by most of the fanbase (and general moviegoers) means that, as cool as I think a reboot MIGHT be, poor Zilla will be confined to Godzilla: Rulers of Earth for future adventures.

Nope never will hapen, Zilla can't handle its own moivie, at the most he could make a cameo in a godzilla movie

Its funny you ask that, because I wrote a fan fic on it a few months ago
Remember that chap, I forget his name, he climbed Everest without any oxygen, came down nearly dead. They asked him, they said, "Why did you go up there to die?"
He said, "I didn't, I went up there to live."

Zilla will never have a standalone movie again simply because he lacks the popularity and marquee value and is generally detested by the fanbase. That being said, he is officially a part of Toho's monster roster, meaning he could make an appearance in a film or video game in the future. He's already appeared in IDW's comics, which shows that Toho was willing to sell his rights to a U.S. company. It's unlikely, but not impossible, that Zilla could even make a cameo in one of Legendary's films.

Zilla, no. But if it was Zilla Jr. and he fought another creature, then I'd go see it.

How about Zilla with Zillajr's power?

Well no, the reason i named my fan-fic Zilla Jr is because Zilla is just a no-no. People feel that Zilla Jr was an attempt to rectify the mistakes of Zilla, and i felt that with the naming of it Zilla that it would have a different feel.

i think it could do well with a reboot. Emmerich didn't handle the movie very well at all, but as a rebooted creature in the hands of another director? i could see it doing well.
