MemberMothra LarvaeNov-02-2014 12:28 PMAs we all shall know Godzillas turns 60 tomorrow and man Ill sure miss the big guy in his 50's.
alot of actors that Im a fan of have entered their next decade of age and now one of my childhood charachters will be entering his next decade of age tomorrow, so so so cant believe it.
but age aint nothin for this big guy.
Do you remember the days when godzilla turned 50?
if you do, did you do anything to celebrate it?
I remember very well back in 04 I bought an Xbox and played it for the very first time and I played Godzilla melee on it and man was it a phenominal way of celebrating his 50th birthday that time.
now I am doing a fan art which I shal post tomorrow in celebration of his 60th birthday and for tonight after I finishe the drawing Ill be playing DAMM and STE in honor of its 60th birthday/Anniversary.
If MSN doesnt mention its birthday by tomorrow I'll go nuts, nah im just kidding.
Happy 60th birthday Godzilla I'll miss you in your 50's.

AdminGodzillaNov-02-2014 12:51 PMSeeing as we were subjected to very few new releases and a merchandising/movie drought for almost a decade, I won't miss his 50s. It was a very bland time to be a Godzilla fan while other tokusatsu such as Super Sentai and Kamen Rider were thriving and the indie market produced mostly spoofs in the genre.
I loved 2004 (although he techincally wasn't 50 for much of that year) and a good chunk of 2005 though.

MemberBaragonNov-02-2014 3:16 PMI can agree with Gman that Godzilla's 50s were a pretty underwhelming decade.

I wouldnt really consider that Godzilla was Inactive, because we got like 4 Godzilla games produced by Atari, so It was game decade for Godzilla in his 50's

AdminGodzillaNov-02-2014 8:20 PMThree versions of Godzilla: Unleashed, all of which were mediocre to awful, and a sidescrolling iOS game that wasn't released stateside isn't exactly what I call "active" for a 50 to 60 year old franchise with [at the time] 28 movies under its belt.
