Godzilla is confirmed to exist, so no. He would not be categorized as a Cryptid, but maybe Mythology.

Godzilla appeared in the late 1940's and disappeared after being nuked in 1954. He did not appear in 1954. That is a very common misconception by fans who watched the movie and only heard 1954. Well, you are right about him appearing in the 40s first. It's also covered in Awakening, where he's awakened shortly after Hiroshima.
