MemberMothra LarvaeAug-10-2014 3:37 PMHey Daikaiju fans!
Lately I have been thinking about the upcoming Godzilla sequel and the appearence of Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah. It's super duper awesome they are confirmed, and I absolutely cannot wait for them and Goji to duke it out especially King Ghidorah, HOWEVER...
Why would Legendary reveal a such a big monster and plot-point as King Ghidorah (especially years before the movie comes out)?
I think this may mean an even larger enemy kaiju is on its way... (orgaplz)
What do you guys think?

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-10-2014 3:39 PMmaybe king ghidora will trransform into grand king ghidorah, but in my opinion ghidorah will oly be teased in the movie then apear at the end

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-10-2014 3:46 PMIf there is a "bigger" monster that will appear in a sequel, I'm willing to bet it will be Mechagodzilla. The reason I think that is because the other three monsters that have been announced (Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Rodan) are three of the most popular kaiju in the franchise besides Godzilla himself. Mechagodzilla would be the next highest on that list, so from a business standpoint, I'm pretty sure Legendary would want to use him next.

MemberBaragonAug-10-2014 4:02 PMThere are only two monsters that come to mind when raising the bar above Ghidorah Rodan and Mothra. That's right I'm of course talking about Gabara and Varan

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-10-2014 4:04 PMKing Ghidorah is perfect for the sequel, I mean, besides being Big G's archnemesis and would look totally awesome in CGI, it could actually mean getting Destoroyah, that's right, the ULTIMATE Godzilla villain, in the 3rd movie, and remember: he was originally going to be the monster Godzilla got to ride off into the sunset against in GFW, but they changed it at the last second due to lack of continuity, that's gotta mean something for the 3rd movie after King Ghidorah.
And I don't buy it'll be Godzilla and Mothra and/or Rodan, and the other 2 or KG will be saved for the 3rd movie, no, spare me: they're all protagonists, they can't fight each other by definition. However, Mothra and Rodan can certainly help Godzilla fight King Ghidorah, so there you go.

MemberGiganAug-10-2014 4:17 PMI dont think you guys are understanding what they said at comic con. They said, "These are the monsters you will see in Godzilla 2" Meaning there are no exceptions, no teasing ghidorah! Godzilla Rodan Mothea and King Ghidorah are gonna be in Godzilla 2 and will be dukeing it out!
Good grief.

The King of the Monsters
MemberMothra LarvaeAug-10-2014 4:23 PMFrom what I've heard, at Comic-Con they basically confirmed Mothra, Ghidorah, and Rodan for Godzilla 2. However, the Legendary Facebook page only says they will be joining him in the sequels. That's probably why some people are assuming that not all three will be in Godzilla 2. I'm pretty sure that they will all three be in Godzilla 2, and there's the possibility of other monsters like Anguirus appearing in it also. But I think the third movie will focus on another villain, possibly Destoroyah, Hedorah, or maybe somehow SpaceGodzilla.

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-10-2014 4:44 PMThey could bring in Mechagodzilla I mean we invented jaegers so...

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-10-2014 4:45 PMEh, I've got a feeling that the third movie will have another new monster(s), and that Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah will be the onlt classic monsters to appear in the series.

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-10-2014 6:06 PMThe tweet by Legendary stated that there would be several Toho monsters joining godzilla in the sequels, you can look it up if you think I'm lying but I think that means the likely appearence of Biollante and possibly (hopefully) anguirus.

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-10-2014 6:27 PMI think the reason the said that Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah is because they're not original monsters. They didn't tells us anything about the Mutos because, being original monsters, they wanted you to be surprised by it's design. With Rodan, Mothra, King Ghidorah, we already know what they look like. It's no use teasing something we will mostly know the design of.

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-10-2014 7:15 PMHere is a good question what makes you guy think that it's a toho monster. If there is truly gonna be a bigger monster legendary could easily make a new monster.

MemberAnguirusAug-10-2014 9:43 PMI estinated that King Ghidorah will be 140-160 meters tall (462-528 ft), that puts him in a 117 000-133 000 ton range. Thats HUGE already, he definitely wont be any smaller than 130 meters. So for a bigger, badder Toho kaiju it would either be Biollante, Destroyah or MechaGodzilla. I personally hoped King Ghidorah was left for the end of the series but I guess he could always return as Grand Ghidorah. If monsters get taller, LegendaryGoji will need to get a little bigger too, maybe 120 meters (400 ft)

AdminGodzillaAug-10-2014 11:46 PM^Why would Godzilla need to be taller if other monster get bigger? Godzilla typically takes on monsters bigger than him. In fact, all his enemies from 1971 through 1995 were bigger than him. There's no reason to randomly elevate his size because he's taking on larger enemies.

The King of the Monsters
MemberMothra LarvaeAug-11-2014 9:39 AMYeah, the Legendary Godzilla is still shorter than all of the Heisei Godzilla's enemies except Mothra and Battra. There's no need to increase his size. The Heisei King Ghidorah was already 150 meters, so the Legendary incarnation of Ghidorah being in the 160 range is no cause for concern.

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-28-2014 8:49 PMMothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah are confirmed to have been acquired by Legendary, but as of now there is no news on whether or not all three are appearing in Godzilla 2. Right now they're just property of Legendary, but no plans have been made that have been revealed as to whether or not they're all appearing in the next movie. It's far more likely that Ghidorah will be saved for Godzilla 3 to finish the trilogy even though he is Godzilla's most overrated foe having lost no fewer than 10 engagements with Godzilla and never once having defeated him in combat.
Still, as Godzilla's coolest looking enemy (opinion only of course), Ghidorah will likely close the trilogy.

MemberMothra LarvaeAug-29-2014 7:17 AMLegendary has not made any official announcement that the monsters will be in Godzilla 2 or a future installment, but it is heavily implied they will all be in Godzilla 2 and eyewitnesses from Comic-Con all report that Legendary said that all three will be in the next movie.
