Started? They did it for 50 years. And who says they wouldn't again?
In any case, I'd watch another traditionally made Godzilla film in a heartbeat. That style of special effects is what Godzilla popularized in Japan. That's the effects style Godzilla is "king" of. I'd love to see another movie made in the toku tradition.
In America he's merely a pauper, borrowing effects styles that were popularized by Jurassic Park, The Abyss and other Spielberg/Cameron innovations.

Id like ruber suits like the ones in godzilla against mechagodzilla/Tokyo sos, but make the toes a little more flexible

Would watch, no question. it would be interesting to see if they stick with the legendary design, or go back to a more classic look. I would be happy ether way. I would also like them to take their time with the movies, instead of pumping one out every year.

^Wouldn't happen since all Toho productions are given a year long pre/production/post time. At least that was still the case in 2004. I doubt it's changed much though.

I'd prefer a lot of suitmation with a bit of CGI, just of realism.

I would see it, but I doubt it, considering they tore down the water pool they used for miniautre sets, saying it was the end of an era.
