What other similarity from previous films have you seen? *Spoiiers*

The battleships following Godzilla also felt like Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. In both instances Godzilla is on a particular mission to get somewhere and the battleships next to him are beneath his attention. I enjoyed that.

oh thanks Kurochan, I was about to make a thread asking for the similitudes between Godzilla 2014 and the rest of the movies, since I was trying to think if I saw the godzilla's deadly kiss before with any enemy.....tbh, Biollante has such a big sized mouth ^^ and I found the muto scene sexy and powerfull, I went to see the movie by the second time to can see the scene again 

That openining with the blue MONARCH flying over some big lushy jungle/forest. I swear they took that straight from Jurassic Park, if you put some JP Soundtrack in there instead of Godzilla soundtrack you can swear that the scene is from Jurassic Park, not Godzilla.

I thought of it as a nice nod to Steven Spielberg and Jurassic Park, which is one my favorite franchises.

one scene actually reminded me of Saving Private Ryan. It was where Ford was face to face with the female muto and had nothing but his pistol on him, so he pulled it out and pointed it at the muto. It reminded me of the scene at the end of saving private ryan where captain miller is injured and the Tank is coming right at him so he also pulls out his pistol. I thought they were very similar, not sure if anyone else noticed..

Godzilla going through the bridge was of course similiar to Trespasser from Pacific Rim destroyingthe bridge in the movie.

They confirm later in Godzilla vs. Destoroyah that Godzilla was chasing Junior the entire time, so... yes?

The are other instances where Godzilla has fired his ray down a monster's throat. He shot it into Biollante's mouth and it blew out the back of her head. Then there's how he finished off Orga, although some fans argue it was the nuclear pulse that took out Orga, not firing his ray from within.
