What is your favorite Godzilla comic series?

I think Rulers of the Earth is much better, because its completely action-packed!

Of the IDW comics Rulers of Earth and the miniseries Half Century War are my favorites! I thought the Marvel Godzilla comics were interesting and I really like the Dark Horse Godzilla comics. Mostly because that had Godzilla fight a lot of awesome foes (Giant bat, Damajin look a like etc.)

Half-Century War and Legends were spectacular. I've heard Rulers of Earth really made up for how awful Kingdom of Monsters was so I need to pick up that one as well.

GMAN2887, Rulers of Earth came after Godzilla which came after Kingdom of Monsters. I suggest reading all three series. One of the main characters from Kingdom of Monsters is a main character in Rulers of Earth. They also reference the other two series, so you should read them all.

I read enough of Kingdom of Monsters to know I didn't want to read anymore. And most fans are telling me Godzilla (which is now being called, Godzilla: History's Greatest Monster in paperback) doesn't do much to fix these problems. I found the art pretty appaling as well.

While Godzilla: Rulers of Earth is a continuation, most reviews have claimed you can understand it just fine without having read the first two series. And Chris Mowry is a much stronger writing talent with an arsenal of better artists. It looks far more appealing than the prior two so I think I'll just save time, money and enjoyment and simply start there.

i will always love the dark horse godzilla comics, but since idw has come along i really can't pick one.

2. Valid points, but at least read a summary of some sorts for Godzilla: History's Greatest Monster for the major plot points and know that the main character form Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters (besides the monsters) is a main character in Godzilla: Rulers of Earth.

Godzilla: History's Greatest Monster had some interesting plot points and enjoyable moments, but I REALLY just don't like the art. Same with Kingdom of Monsters. Rulers of Earth has good story AND good art imo.
