MemberMothra LarvaeMay-27-2014 12:09 PMIt's been over a week sinc ei saw the movie and I can happily say that regardless of what anyone else has said, it is the best movie of 2014. If anything I personally put it up there with the likes of Avatar and Jurassic Park in terms of creature features.
Wat I liked most about this incarnation of Godzilla is how powerful he is (just like every other Hesei, showa or millennium incarnation befohi this one) however at the same time I felt a great deal of sympathy for Godzilla's character because amidst
i used to volunteer at a falconry two years ago and even helped heal animals back to health at the vets. i have had my share of seeing animals in distress and it is quite upsetting.
my favourite part was when Godzilla falls and makes eye contact with Ford, you could see the emotion of Godzilla's face.
the part that frightened me a bit but at the same time made me a bit sad was when Godzilla was being shot at by the military on the golden gate bridge. as much as it doesn't hurt him, I could tell he was most likely angry and confused by being bombarded with shells when he doesn't know any better. The screams he made and the sounds of the children was kind of upsetting aswell
while he is technically a gigantic reptile older than the dinosaurs, I saw godzilla as not just some animal but a creature that is the last of his kind and most likely lonely and angry that everything on the planet wanted him dead, humans and MUTO's alike.
all in all, I can't wait for the next Godzilla movie and I know it will be awesome! :D
