2D. When a movie is filmed for 3D it looked great in 3D. Unforuntately Godzilla was not filmed for 3D which means they had to do it all in post.

The best thing I heard about Godzilla 3D was that it wasn't 'too distracting'.

2D. I could say that for about 97% of the movies released in 3D though...

Not 3D. Not 2D either. Go watch it in IMAX 3D!!! I saw it with my buddy in IMAX 3D and it was flipping amazing! There are no words to describe my experience in the IMAX theatre.

Agreed 100% with DHAWK. IMAX 3D is AMAZING. The sound and the picture looks awesome. You have to watch Godzilla in IMAX 3D without a doubt.

Personally, other than rare exceptions like the movie Gravity, I always go for 2D, since 3D forces your eyes to focus on what they want you to focus on for the effect, I would rather have full control over what I focus on for the entirety of the movie. I want to see it how I am going to see it naturally, not how you want me to see it.

I find 3D overrated and unnecessary. 2D on the UltraScreen was amazing. Godzilla's roar shook the entire building.

I saw it in IMAX 3D, but it did not enhance the viewing.  There were no 3D effects that had my  mouth agape.

Sometimes 3D can be distracting, especially doing fast-cut fight scenes.

Roger Ebert  recommended his readers to view ALL movies in 2D, except special movies like Avatar or Gravity.

God can any movie actually have real 3D effects -_- the only movie that actually did that for me was surprisingly Wrath of the Titans

only few movies are worth to see in 3D and Godzilla is not one of them, tho.

I thought the 3D in IMAX 3D was excellent! Everything was in focud and there was real depth of field, plus it made the scenes where you saw monster battles on tvs so much easier to see! Also the special IMAX opening sequence for Godzilla is a nice plus. Also, there's nothing like seeing Godzilla in his full glory on that massive screen.
