MemberMothra LarvaeMay-20-2014 5:24 AMFinally, Death Battle will bring the world's most revered monster in history to their show! The thing is, they haven't shown who Godzilla will ACTUALLY fight against. Heck, I'm not sure what version will they use! Here are some possible candidates:
- Gamera
This should be obvious. I mean, come ON! I don't know who would really end up being the victor. They seem so evenly matched! And Gamera can fly. But I guess if they use composite Godzilla, Godzilla CAN fly.(Oh, you know, Godzilla vs. Hedorah?)
- Another Toho monster
It could be possible. I mean, the Godzilla series is having its 60th anniversary. So, why not? To celebrate for Big G's 60 years of being King.
- Another Kaiju/Mecha from another franchise(Not including Gamera)
Entirely possible. The list is endless! The Jaegers, PR Kaijus, Cloverfield, King Kong, Ultraman, Megazord, Evangelion Units or heck, even a huge monster from the Monster Hunter series!
- Godzilla Battle Royale
This is what I personally want. Imagine the 1954 version, Showa era version, Heisei era version, Millenium version, 1998 version(For the lolz), and the 2014 version duking it out! Add in the Marvel version, Hannah-Barbera version, Dark Horse version, IDW version, GMK version and even Super Godzilla from the games! That would be the perfect birthday gift for the King of the Monsters!
And that's it. I personally want a Godzilla Battle Royale, but a fight against Gamera seems inevitable. I hope Death Battle doesn't make Godzilla lose, its the guys 60th anniversary! But somehow, I have a bad feeling this Death Battle will end up like Goku vs. Superman. Goku, being the more popular one, lost. On the other hand, Superman won despite being less popular. And between Godzilla and Gamera, the more popular one is pretty obvious. So I really do hope Godzilla wins! But if the King falls, I'm sure alot of people will be butthurt. To be honest, I always thought of Godzilla and Gamera fighting, somehow with Gamera winning. But don't get me wrong! I love Godzilla more than Gamera, and no matter the result, I still think Godzilla is the King. All hail to Godzilla, the destroyer of worlds!

Also on a side not, are you crazy? I love Goku and I like him better, but to say he's more popular than Superman is just silly. Goku is popular, but Superman served as the foundation of modern comic book continuity. He is THE SUPERHERO. It is not an opinion, it's a fact. I don't think the first issue of Dragonball is worth a million now is it? Besides, Death Battle doesn't do their videos according to popularity. That's why they explain it at the end.
