Will Godzilla and the Muto fight more physically through biting, clawing, etc. or will there be more strategic attacks like atomic breath shooting and Muto airstrikes from the sky?

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-30-2014 11:31 AMIt's funny how simple some people think this is to just label just because we know the anatomy of the monsters.
Yes, Godzilla will use tooth and claw and likely tail at some point, but his atomic breath is another story. We'll probably only see it once, twice at most. Why? Because everything we know about it says that Godzilla must focus and channel his energy into the attack. It's something that will drain him, not something he can just spam like in the old Toho movies. This time, there's a consequence to using it.
I'm betting that the atomic breath will be the final blow against the Muto, and only used once in the movie due to the fact that it's going to come with such a cost. If we see it more than once, I'll be stoked, but I'm betting that it'll only show up one time on screen.
As for the Muto creatures, it's still up in the air. We don't know for sure what kind of attacks it will use, if any besides tooch and claw. Its wings are only lightly flexible, meaning that if it used them as weapons they would likely break or be damaged because they can't flex very far beyond a single axis fold and extension.
Some people seem to think it has an emp attack simply because planes fell to the water, but I doubt it. It's more likely that it simply flew by them and the sudden and violent rush of air threw off the plane's own balance and the concussive force of it threw them around like rag dolls. Since the pilots are only human, it doesn't matter how good the plane is. Something like one good wing beat will throw the planes all over the place and cause the pilots to lose control and crash. I highly doubt that it has any kind of emp attack.
So yes, I'm betting that the vast majority of the fights will be up close and personal with maybe one big finish using the atmoic breath when Godzilla realizes that it is his only chance to finish the fight.
