MemberMothra LarvaeApril 10, 20145276 Views24 RepliesThis thread is pretty straightforward: think up your own titles and movie/poster taglines for any potential Godzilla sequels (and there will almost assuredly be at least one sequel) here, and it can be any number of potential sequels. Me, personally, for this one hyped up sequel (and yes, there might also be a 2nd sequel/3rd movie, but I'll just start with the one pre-supposed sequel for now):
Godzilla 2: Rise of Ghidorah (2016)
With a tagline that reads "There's a New King in Town".
BAM! Now that would be money! I pretty much nailed that one to perfection right there, I wouldn't be surprised if Edwards uses one or even both for the actual sequel if and when it begins production in 2016, 2017, whatever, and yes, I thought up both of these myself. You're welcome.

Title: Godzilla: The Sequel
Tagline: You gotta see the first movie before you guess it's possible sequels.
"Daddy's home- cake every night,"

Godzilla 2: the fire breathing monster
Come see a giant lizard that blows stuff up!

This time, the Bananna Oil is personal...

Danzilla beat me to it. Good form.
SERIOUSLY GUYS. TWO PEOPLE CALLED GODZILLA A LIZARD, AND A FIREBREATHING MONSTER. Godzilla is to strong to be a lizard, that's why hes a dinosaur and breathing fire? He does that when he sneezes. JK but godzilla is not a lizard.

Godzilla: Event Horizon [OR] Godzilla: Resurgence [OR] Godzilla:Next Evolution

Godzilla Vs. Gigantis
Or to be serious...
Ghidorah: The Three-Headed Monster
"I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."

Godzilla vs King Ghidorah: Destroy all Monsters. 2 kings, 1 planet, no room.
Godzilla vs Destoroyah. An explosion waiting to happen. Get it! It's a pun. You know, how Godzilla nearly exploded in Godzilla vs Destoroyah but he melted down instead.
Son of Godzilla. A prince is born.
\"SKREEONGK!\" -Godzilla

GODZILLA- Depths of Fallout
Hell hath no fury...
This is the best I've got. It pretty much sums up how Godzilla's fellow radioactive kaiju come to be (Rodan, Angurius, etc.) and are thrown into a Destroy All Monsters scenerio.
No Toho Monsters please.
Ghidorah, and indeed all the other Toho monsters, have no place in this new franchise. The franchise is about Godzilla, not the Toho line up. 'Godzilla' is not synonymous with the Toho line up. 'Godzilla' is synonymous to 'Godzilla,' the single creature created by Toho to represent the horrors of the nuclear bombs.
I firmly believe the Toho line up should remain in Toho. Legendary has enough creativity to create a series about this creature if they so desire without ever touching a single Toho monster design. Besides, Toho are not in charge of this film for those who are confused about Toho's role. This is a Legendary Pictures film, and even though a few members of Toho are on the executive producer spots, that doesn't mean they're in charge. Legendary is, and it's Legendary Pictures who make all the final decisions. I believe that if Legendary use a Toho monster, they're officially unfit for the franchise and should hand it back to Toho so that the Toho line up actually have relevance again.
Anyway, as far as sequels go, naming them is kind of difficult because we don't know the lore of this new movie yet. Once we've seen the movie and have a better idea of what Gareth has done with the Godzilla lore, I'll be happy to contribute to the idea. But for now, I think this whole idea is a bit premature. Without understanding the new lore in its entirety, trying to think of sequels is just a name game that has no real relevance to the subject matter.

This would be the title and tagline of my movie.
EDIT*
Or i like "Godzilla: Were All F@&KED"

I disagree with some previous comments about the use of other Toho Monsters. I think in order for this series to have sequels and spawn a franchise they need to dig into the past 60 years of Godzilla lore. Anyways, on to what this thread is about. My ideas.
First Sequel:
Destroy All Monsters - Kind of like the Dark Knight, omit Godzilla from the title.
King Ghidorah, The Three Headed Monster - Use the title of the classic film that introduced KG, in order to bring him into this series.
Godzilla Returns - Very simple, and classic title as well.
Second Sequel:
King Of The Monsters - A great title to end a trilogy, IMO.
Godzilla, Age Of Monsters - Sounds powerful, and epic.

A couple more sequel title/tagline ideas I thought of...
Godzilla 3: Endgame
Tagline: The beginning of the end.
I also thought up this tagline for the potential sequel(s): Unstoppable force of nature. Immovable object of doom. Of course, the whole purpose of that tagline was to hype up Big G's confrontation with his arch nemesis (King Ghidorah) in the 2nd movie/1st sequel, but I think that one might be better suited for the 3rd and potential final film vs. either Bagan or Destoroyah w/a modded origin TBH (and they'd have to change his origin since the Oxygen Destroyer will have never even existed in this universe) because the later part of the tagline implies that his adversary is an "ultimate" or super kaiju and that would be Bagan/Destroroyah, of course.
Also, if KG is in the sequel (and by God, I hope he is, obvious reasons), the only monsters that could potentially "top" him in the 2nd sequel/3rd movie as far as Big G's competition are Bagan, Destoroyah, Mechagodzilla, and maybe Biollante. Obviously, 2 of those (possibly 3, as I believe Bagan had an alien/supernatural backstory involved as well from the Super Godzilla SNES game) would have to have their backstory altered a bit while one wouldn't fit Edwards' "realistic" Godzilla universe at all.
