MemberMothra LarvaeApr-04-2014 7:57 AMYou guys remeber the comic con trailer that was leaked online a while back? There's a part with a multi armed creature lying dead on the ground. What happen to it? Was it replaced with the two MUTO's? Or might it still be in the movie but their keeping it secret.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-04-2014 11:08 AMMost are adamant that it was just a concept creature created soley for the Comic Con Footage. I hold on to a fool's hope that it will still be in the movie, sine a couple "path of destruction" shots show a winding furrow in the earth consistant with this guys long, low body.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-04-2014 6:18 PMI seem to recall that descriptions of the 2013 Comic Con trailer from people who had also seen the 2012 trailer said that the shot of the monster corpse was shown again, but the 8-legged Muto was there in place of "Talaghan." Because of this, it seems that, if he was ever intended to be in the movie at all, he was replaced by or was an early design for Hokmuto.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-04-2014 7:59 PMtalaghan was a concept monster. this was in 2012 so that means that they were 2 years from final production. they probably didnt think of the mutos until later so scrapped talaghan. now either that or it was to get so much attention to amke people morwe interested when really they had the muto all along.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-28-2014 9:16 PMThe monster from the 2012 comic con trailer is an unused concept. It was never a full creature designed to be in the movie. That trailer was only a "proof of concept" trailer created by Edwards to prove to Legendary he was on the right track with his vision of the film.
The monster in that trailer is not in the movie, nor does it actually have a fully realized final form. It was only used in the 2012 teaser as a way for Gareth to say "this is a mood piece with this kind of an aftermath. Giant monster burning in a ruined city. Godzilla is coming."
It's just a nameless, unused concept. Everyone calling it Vishnu does so purely because that was the name in the Oppenheimer speech when the creature was on screen. But that monster does not actually have a name, nor a final form. It's an unused concept that will never see the light of day beyond the 2012 trailer.
