And concerning the building flares from the second trailer, why shoot it so close to him if you want him to follow a path?
The only thing I don't understand is why would they shoot their flares so close to big G/at him? Its not like his field of view is focused on what's feet away from him- but rather a mile or two away IMO. and plus, the HALO jumpers essentially fall on top of godzilla. Not really at a significant amount of space ahead of him. It's as if they'd have to do countless HALO jumps to keep him going in the right direction.
I first thought that the HALO jump was to go extract whoever was in the buildings that the flares were shot off of because perhaps they're imporant people or something. Idk :/

MemberMothra LarvaeFeb-28-2014 3:58 PMAnother topic mentioned Godzilla being attracted by bright lights similar to the Tyrannosaurus from Jurassic Park. I think all this happens near the end of the movie where theres little to no hope of actually stopping Godzilla with conventional or nuclear methods. There only hope now is to save what people they can or lure Godzilla into the path of the other monster(s) so they can finish each other off.

MemberBaragonFeb-28-2014 4:16 PMmaybe they are trying to lead him away from the city to hawaii i only say this because hawaii is supposed to be the final act of the film it says so on the new empire magazine showing a picture of aaron taylor johnson and that picture does say something about johnson and it says the final act under it.
