I dont think any of you fellows have shown proof yet that the creature's not gonna be in, so then explain whered you get that type of information from then?
A Legendary worker? Warner Bros? Gareth Edwards? I still do believe the multi legged creature will be in the movie and I hope its not taken out like all of you are saing, so for those who are saying its not gonna be in, then show the proof.

Hmm, Im actually kinda glad you brough this up. The thing is, no one has PROOF. Everyone ASSUMES it won't be in the movie because the 2012 comic con was a concept footage before any reall production..seems reasonable..HOWEVER the trailer that was released a couple of months go HAS the SAME yet enhanced clips FROM THE 2012 COMIC CON TRAILER. The hole in the building, and even the scene with the destroyed train surrounded by bodies. So basically, no one knows.

AkagiFebruary 05, 2014
No proof, but there are hints.
For instance, someone did get a peak at the toys that will be showing at toyfair, and they only mentioned insect like mutos and no mention of a giant worm centipede creature.
Thats all I'm going on. Honestly, I want it to be in the movie.
He is 350ft Tall people, those things on his neck ARE gills, and the Brazil photo is part of the final advertising design-- Deal with it.

dinoboy22February 05, 2014
they said it was proof of concept. to show what they could do. just because they used the small bit of from the teaser doesnt mean anything
petedj06February 05, 2014
There is no proof one way or the other. Nobody knows, and anyone who says otherwise is crazy... like a dunk bigfoot wearing a beer hat. It's all speculation, but that's what fans do, that's kind of what makes them fans.

i say yes it might be in the movie but people say thats it in the book but if its not in the movie thats ok because it going in the book
Reggie1138February 05, 2014
People are saying that because that trailer showcased in 2012 SDCC was a proof of concept trailer. They had not even begun to film the movie at that point. It was only shown to give the fans in attendance a chance to geek out a bit. There's a chance that the multi-armed creature could still be in the movie but there's also a chance he won't.

StarzillaFebruary 05, 2014
You know what I think? based on my experience in 3d animation(as you can see from my profile pic) I think they worked way to hard on that creature for it not to be in that movie, even if it was in for only three seconds. I may only be a novice, but when I work five hours on a graphic for my job, I expect it to be shown.

Dragonlord TevinFebruary 05, 2014
STARZILLA thats wat i said too bro, why would they spend time making such a badass looking monster and make him only a CONCEPT.
Ohh yeah and btw to ALL of you smartasses, 8-LEGGED MUTO TOY FOR PRE-ORDER, it may be the centipede monster

BCrockett94February 05, 2014
Here's why. people who attended both 2012 and 2013 Godzilla comic con events had noticed that the giant lizard centipede thing was replaced by something that looks more like a cross between the bugs from starship troopers and cloverfield.
THAT IS WHY PEOPLE HAVE SAID THIS. Had friends that were able to go to both, and they said the trailers were not the same.

Dragonlord TevinFebruary 05, 2014
BCROCKETT94
Yeah? Because theyre different trailers that show different scenes?
AND because there might be 2+ different type of monsters??
Wat makes you think both trailers had to be the same so they can be official? Or that the newer one is the official one and not the old one

BCrockett94February 05, 2014
lmao
What I meant by "different" was that they went through the trouble of editing the shit out of the clip to replace the monster with a newer look.
They said that there was an eight legged muto, and the toy was marketed as "THE eight legged muto". The operative word being "the", making it more likely that the eight legged muto is the updated look, from the 2013 comic con trailer. If it were "an" eight legged muto, I might be more inclined to believe that the centipede lizard thing would make the final cut.
Also, this movie would get really crowded with anymore than three daikaiju (large strange beast), including Godzilla. If there is more than three kaiju, the rest will most likely not be daikaiju, but rather just smaller monsters that really help drive the human element, nothing much larger than the tarantula in the movie Eight Legged Freaks.
And the trailers were exactly the same is what I meant to say, with the exception of the monsters.
Recap:
It's highly unlikely that the centipede creature will not be making an appearance. This is due to the fact that the 2012 and 2013 comic con trailers were exactly the same, with the exception of the monsters. This, as well as the fact that the eight legged muto is marketed as "THE eight legged muto", helps lessen the chance that the centipede lizard thing makes an appearance. If the movie had more than three DAIKAIJU (Large Strange Beasts), it would really take away from human element that this movie is centered on. If there are more than three monsters (Godzilla, winged muto, eight legged muto), they will more than likely be SMALL KAIJU in order to enhance the human element by putting the main characters in perilous situations.

Did I answer your questions in a satisfactory way? Or did I leave something out?

AkagiFebruary 06, 2014
Not sure why everyone is getting so defensive about this.
He is 350ft Tall people, those things on his neck ARE gills, and the Brazil photo is part of the final advertising design-- Deal with it.

BCrockett94February 06, 2014
Does is seem like that? I wasn't trying to sound defensive or rude. I was just trying to "show evidence".

Dragonlord TevinFebruary 06, 2014
Nah u answered my question and I get you, ur saying the new look of the MUTO must be an update, WHICH I CLEARLY DONT WANT TO HAPPEN, they better put both monsters in the movie lol

BCrockett94February 06, 2014
As much as I want both, I think that'd be the point at which the movie might feel very crowded in terms of daikaiju. Which isn't a bad thing, but then they should stop advertising this movie as a very human centric movie.
