This is awesome. You guys want a way to promote this movie? This is it! Godzilla needs to win! It'll show people how serious this movie is going to be! It will get a lot more attention if it wins this. THIS is a group effort! Come on!

We'll never hit number 1, not with Transformers and Hunger Games with the fan following it has, but we can make sure Godzilla puts up a good fight. This looks very interesting to watch actually-- another mainstream internet poll people will take into account.

EDIT: Maybe I judged it too soon? Noah beating Transformers 4? Sils Maria clobbering Spider-Man 2? The Rover stomping Captain America 2? Veronica Mars annihilating Guardians of the Galaxy?

I hadn't even heard of Sils Maria and The Rover until today, but they actually look like legitimate movies. Faith in humanity in some circles restored I guess? Happy to see Spider-Man's getting whipped. I guess I should've expected Veronica Mars to be doing well considering the fan following it has.

Noooo I want Godzilla to win but I believe Mockingjay will get the victory.

And another thing, WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE VOTE ON THAT WEBSITE?  I vote for the one I like better, example Robocop, then my vote tends to be lower than the other movie.  So we must have like Twilight fans voting on that website

^Actually I think a lot of the votes on there are some of the most level headed opinions I've seen.

This poll has to be being advertised largely on another site besides MTV. I watch mtv, the shows they watch the audience they cater to and there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that movies like Spiderman 2, Captain America 2, and Guardains of the Universe are being smashed by, for the most part, unknown movies.

Either the voting on this site is ridiculously voted by females, or this is being advertised on possibly all those movies own sites that those votes are for. There's no way the general public is voting on that poll.

I think the general public is voting on that poll, but as you said there's also a large fanbase for the other movies voting hard.

The thing is Guardians of the Galaxy is largely unknown by general audiences as well and likely to get buried by a lot of blockbusters by the time it's released in August. Spider-Man 2's word-of-mouth is getting worse by the day, but that doesn't explain Captain America 2.

On the other hand I've run in to plenty of people who didn't know these movies were coming out this year...
