How does the translator app work, do you have to be in San Diego?

The app crashes on my iPhone 3GS and iPad 2

i have an Iphone 4 , and you go to transltor section, your camera turns on: you just have to point clues hiding by legendary.

All you have to do is go to the Godzilla Encounter website and find all of the images that are in Japanese. The translator will automatically scan them. You unlock a hidden item by scanning them all.
