Rebecca Hall, who starred in Godzilla vs. Kong will be returning for Adam Wingard's sequel, tentatively titled Godzilla and Kong and recently sat down with Australian publication The Advertiser to discuss the new Monsterverse film. According to their report Hall is confident the sequel will top Godzilla vs. Kong:
Rebecca Hall says she was excited to return to her role as anthropological linguist and Kong whisperer Dr Ilene Andrews and while she can’t say how the new film will top its predecessor (“I’m NDAed out the wazoo”), she guarantees that it will.
Following on, she was quoted praising Wingard's vision and approach with the franchise:
I had such a good time on the last one and I loved everyone involved in it.
I loved (director) Adam Wingard – he’s such an eccentric visionary in terms of a filmmaker and I really enjoy just being a part of his neon inflected universe.
The people in it are great, the people behind it are great. I was really excited to get to work with Brian Tyree Henry who I didn’t get to work with on the last one and this time, we have a lot of stuff together so that was great. So, the whole thing was just delightful. It was a very nice way to get paid.
While specific plot details remain tightly under wraps, it's great to see new interviews with cast starting to surface.
Godzilla and Kong wrapped up principal photography earlier this month and is currently in post-production where visual effects will be added. As new information, details and interviews surface we'll keep you posted!
