NHK has announced a new documentary called Godzilla and Heroine.

Directed by Takeshi Yagi, the new program is about the heroines presented in 27 of the movies from Toho's daikaiju film catalog. It is hosted by Japanese comedian Tsukaji Muga and actress Megumi Han. Commentary and narration will be handled by actor Shiro Sano. Confirmed guests of this program are Yumiko Shaku, who played Akane in Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, and Godzilla series veteran, Kumi Mizuno is also confirmed as a guest for the program. Takeshi Yagi has also stated that the documentary will feature actresses Keiko Mari and Megumi Odaka, as well as Toho producer Shogo Tomiyama.

Godzilla and Heroine is scheduled to premiere on BS Premium on December 19th of 2020.
