This past week saw a variety of new kaiju merchandise announcements. From Godzilla vs. Kong, to Evangelion, and even an update on a highly anticipated Gamera item... this week was packed full of content.
To start things off, a new image of the upcoming Arrow Video - Gamera: The Complete Collection set was released. Additionally, according to the set's project manager, James Flower, it will include "Everything that’s been on the previous American editions, and more, in terms of extras. And in terms of the dubs, all of them."
A new Godzilla vs. Kong children's book titled Godzilla vs. Kong: Sometimes Friends Fight (But They Always Make up After) was revealed. You can read up on all that we currently know about the book, including a detailed description, here.
A new line of Evangelion-inspired PC gaming equipment called E:PROJECT was unveiled. The line will feature numerous PC gaming items, such as keyboards, headsets, and fans. You can find out more about the items on E:PROJECT's official website.
Lastly, Spiral Studio released a brand new image of their monstrous upcoming King Ghidorah (2019) standard version statue. However, the term "monstrous" may be an understatement for the item. The stunning collector's piece will stand at 35" tall and 53" wide! Fans can read about the statue's details and pricing in Scified's recap of the statue.
The next Hollywood Godzilla movie is officially called Godzilla x Kong: Supernova and will hit theaters on March 26th, 2027! Visit the GxK: Supernova page for more information, production updates and everything we know so far!
From Toho, Takashi Yamazaki is directing a sequel to Godzilla Minus One and is currently in development! The next film will act as a direct follow-up and will even include more Monsters! There is also the next season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters on the way, as well as other spin-off Godzilla series in the works at Apple TV!
Furthermore, while not Godzilla related, Legendary have also teamed up with Amazon to produce a live-action Pacific Rim TV series, which is also currently in the works! So many Kaiju-sized projects in the works - check back often for new information on them all!
