In response to the ongoing Writer's Guild of America and Screen Actor's Guild strike, Legendary Entertainment have opted to cancel their Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year (SDCC 2023) and with it - our first look at Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The Hall H presentation was going to feature our first look at the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel by way of new teaser footage, but now fans in attendance will not get to enjoy the sneak peek.

As with previous SDCC Hall H presentations - the footage shown during these panels usually remain exclusive to the event itself and the public rarely gets a glimpse of what's shown (unless it leaks online). So, for those not attending SDCC this year, this news doesn't really come as a loss, however for those who paid to attend and were hoping to catch a glimpse of Godzilla x Kong, this news will be rather disappointing.
Rest assured however, the marketing campaign for Godzilla x Kong is expected to ramp up this Fall, so it won't be much longer before we get our first look at footage from the upcoming sequel.
