Although it was recently revealed that Kan Sawada's soundtrack score for Godzilla Singular Point was dropping July 21st, via VGMdb.net, details have been scarce. Until now.
The Godzilla Singular Point website has revealed the album will cover 31 tracks. The cover features main characters (from left to right) Mei Kamino, Yun Arikawa and Haberu "Barbell" Kato. Eagle eyed fans following the series will also notice Pelops 2 on the laptop and the Jet Jaguar model next to Yun.
"The Godzilla Singular Point soundtrack is an homage to my favorite Showa tokusatsu and fantasy films," said composer Kan Sawada. "The Jet Jaguar theme at the factory, the mysterious song that solves the secret of the singularity, the song of cute Pelops 2, the theme of various monsters... We hope you enjoy the music that colors the story." Sawada's music also includes his arrangement of Akira Ifukube's famous Godzilla theme.
The Godzilla Singular Point soundtrack will be released on disc, streaming and digital on July 21st. A second release featuring 23 more tracks will be released August 22nd.
Godzilla Singular Point will hit Netflix in North America, and the rest of the world, on Thursday, June 24th. It's currently airing in Japan on broadcast television and Netlfix.
In the year 2030, Yun Arikawa of the Otaki Factory, and grad student Mei Kamino, investigate mysterious signals that open up a new world of monsters.
Their alternate paths of research lead them to a mysterious substance founded by a missing scientist which could be the answer to, "the hopeless future" personified as Godzilla.
