Toho have officially revealed the release date and title for their own new Godzilla movie! Titled Godzilla: Minus One, the new film will debut in Japan on November 3rd, 2023 and in the United States December 1st, 2023! This is the first Japan-produced Godzilla movie since Shin-Gojira in 2016. You can learn even more about everything we know about Godzilla: Minus One in this big post!
The official plot synopsis is as follows:
Set in a post-war Japan, Godzilla Minus One will once again show us a Godzilla that is a terrifying and overwhelming force, which you already get a sense of from the teaser trailer and poster,” said Koji Ueda, President of Toho International. “The concept is that Japan, which had already been devastated by the war, faces a new threat with Godzilla, bringing the country into the ‘minus.’

From Toho, Takashi Yamazaki is directing a sequel to Godzilla Minus One and is currently in development! The next film will act as a direct follow-up and will even include more Monsters!
