For an amazing $3.5 billion Legendary Pictures Entertainment, whom have co-financed movies such as Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, Godzilla, Pacific Rim, Jurassic World and this years hotly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, is to be purchased by Chinese conglomerate the Dalian Wanda Group.
Thomas Tull, the founder of Legendary back in 2000, will remain as the entertainmnt companys CEO after the acquisition. Wall Street Journal claims that the deal, which they describe as “the largest China-Hollywood deal to date,” will allow the company to more easily distribute its movies to chinese theatres.
No doubt fans are also hoping that the Chinese conglomerate can also rescue Pacific Rim 2 from obscurity.
