At the very least, can we count Awakening as "not entirely non-canon"? Because I'd like if we could agree on that one to have a more complete timeline.
Wow. Rodan's really made a mess of things...
So they're taking bits and pieces as reference and incorporating that, that doesn't make the whole thing canon. I can give you plenty of examples of noncanon things being used to inspire canon making small elements part but not whole works.
Nice. Although I still wanna see a traditional non-3D animated Godzilla that isn't Godzilla: The Series, this is a great start as a mainstream Japanese Godzilla's first foray into an official animated medium.
See, that WOULD be a pretty fair point, Im Durp........... Except for ONE niggling detail.
General Douglas MacArthur.
He was first introduced into the MonsterVerse canon via Awakening as the lead military figure heading the nuclear kill missions against the M.U.T.O.s, Godzilla and the Shinomura. Here, we see confirmation that his missions are indeed within continuity, authorized by Truman himself.
At the very least, Awakening isn't simply being ignored. It looks as though it's becoming the The Incredible Hulk of the MonsterVerse, not often referenced directly but still canonical to the main continuity.
No fair, Godzilla doesn't even get his own island, Some co-stars gets all the VIP treatment...
I don't think those images support Awakening's inclusion at all the movie acknowledges there were multiple bombings.
As for the timeline. If you stop it at 4-5 seconds on the Mission Skull you can read or infer most of that message, on the Great Smog of London. Mainly that it came from giant wings
I was a little worried about the animation, but it looks pretty good.
He looks a little better in the animation style rather than just the outline we got earlier. Maybe I won't be disappointed with the design afterall.
While I'm not inclined to reveal what's being shown off, just trust me when I say: you do NOT want to miss out!
Stay tuned, the truth is out there!
Hope this site manages to get some decent coverage, I sure feel bad for anyone missing out
I'm hyped for this, what a great time to be a Kaiju Groupie
Okay, Somebody hug me!
Yeah yeah yeah, have fun there Gowhaletours.
So anyways, what do you guys think of that new info? It looks like efforts have been made to include the comics into the overall continuity.
Dubious, you say, The King of the Monsters?
I don't know........ these images from their Instagram seem to support Awakening's inclusion in the continuity.
If it wasn't clear enough before, it should be abundantly obvious now that there WERE multiple nuclear bombings.
It seems like a lot of people had figures here, but I have never really bought any. I'm planning on going to G-Fest this year so that might change. Godzilla 2014 was also my first Godzilla film in theaters and while I still enjoy it, the prospect of more movies has me more excited.
We also finally have a concrete release date for the game: October 19, 2017.
I remember people were speculating that Gyaos was in the game back when the first teaser trailer was released, back before we even knew Gamera was in the game.
Turns out for once the early speculation was right.
Monarch couldn't even handle the male muto i'm going to laugh my ass of when Ghidorah awakes and fries all of them and thier backup plan is to shock him to death.
For me, when I was 3. Me and my dad used to rent movies all the time at our local Schnucks and one film caught my interest: Godzilla 2000. We rented it, I watched it, and I fell in love with it. Over the next few years, I discovered more and more Godzilla films. Over time, I began to become a big fan and began to build up my knowledge. Then 2014 came around and it was my first Godzilla movie on the big screen. I loved it back then, and still really like it now. Around that time, I began collecting figures then I focused on SH Monsterarts figures. So that's my history with it.
For me it began when I was 4-5 years old. I had gone to a Toys R Us in a mall and saw a one winged dragon (which I now know due to my really good memory that the dragon was a one winged Aerodactyl). I didn't want the dragon at the time so we left and went home. However when we got home I decided that I wanted the dragon so my mom called my dad and told him to go and pick up the dragon. I waited in the garage till he got home and when he did I hopped up and walked over to him. However what he gave me wasn't the dragon, but a grey dinosaur with white spikes on it's back. At first I was slightly frustrated but I quickly began to love it (As I've loved dinosaurs literally my whole life). This figure is the Bandai America 1954 Godzilla figure and I still own it, in fact it's to my left as I type this. From there I began to see bits of Godzilla on TV and got really interested. So my mom went out and bought me Godzilla 2000, and I watched that movie a ridiculous amount of times. I then proceeded to watch Godzilla Tokyo SOS, Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla (original), and Godzilla vs Gigan. I would occasionally go to blockbuster and rent one, with me really remembering GMK (It was quite a movie for a 7-8 year old). So yeah, since then I've gotten more movies, figures, etc.
TheTruthIsOutThere-Sweet to see that you have a ton more credibility added, and I personally can't wait for Comic-Con.
To be honest I don't really care, but I would prefer having a winner. Just hope the movie is about building up to there fight and when it happens, it'll be the fight of a lifetime, head smashing and knuckle sandwiches everywhere.
He's gonna get off the island, when has keeping monsters on an island not gone wrong?
Likely not, it's Ghidorah we're talking about here
I bet it's a giant, three headed pony
^^^^
Hoping for just anything really, we've only had some set photos and a teaser for this movie.
Gman- Yeah I kinda realized that early today, I posted that late last night, I was tired. But I do agree with how the old Godzilla's, which are from the 50's, 60's, and 70's, are more exciting and interesting then one made a few years ago.
My hopes are for a poster or a teaser like in 2012. Even if they only drop more plot info its going to be awesome
TheTruthIsOutThere,
While I'll happily admit your credibility is growing, perhaps something more specific (or a hint at something more specific as you seem to prefer) pertaining to what we'll see at SDCC would give some of us more of a reason to believe.
A new trailer just dropped!

Oh, hey look! Gyaos confirmed! YAY!
Just don't miss out
And stay tuned
I saw somewhere that the silhouette under mothra (looks kinda like mothra leo) can change type so my guess is Ultraman Tiga.
Well I don't like it as much as I used to. It doesn't hold up as well as something like the original '54 film.
