9.5-9.999999999999999999/10!!!!! It was damn near perfect! ESPECIALLY THE SOUNDS!!!!! Loved the call backs to the OG 1954 film in the audio, and the Oxygen Destroyer! Poor Serizawa :(..... My main complaint is that they keep cutting back to the humans during the Kaiju fights, but other than that, BLIMMIN AMAZING!!!! Also, Mark's acting was a bit off..... BUT THE MOVIE WAS BLIMMIN AMAZING!!!! GODZILLA!!!!!! Burning Godzilla lasted all of 3 seconds... and didn't use his atomic breath..... BUT HE WAS AWESOME AND FINISHED GHIDORAH SO BRUTALLY!!!!!! The movie was 99.99999999999% Perfect!!!!!!!
9.99/10!
I'm going to see it 3 times!
Godzilla's_Tail79: "Overall my current rating of the film is 7/10."
Which is not bad at all...
I actually cried a little bit. Just the one scene when it was like all hope was lost. Godzilla’s on the ground, then you hear Mothras cry.
The whole theatre went silent in respect as she gave the greatest gift of self sacrifice in devotion to the world. I first feel unbearable sorrow as my eyes filled with tears. Then anger. Then hate. And then I remembered, “Whoops I’m supposed to be Team Ghidorah”
Cough, cough,
quick wipe my eyes, before someone sees...
She brought darn good attitude though. Wish more people on this earth had that kind of spirit.
But all is not lost for the studio, the international markets are doing well. China and Japan are doing great especially.
Looks like there are indeed a lot more sheeps out there, RT just control the minds of general moviegoers. Disappointing...but not sadly not surprising.
Shin and Netflix are really a separate category from the monsterverse, so it's hard to put them in the same basket.
I’ll just go ahead with Godzilla too.
The Green Era? The titans are kinda going green..... The Balanced Era? The Unity Era or The Connected Era (because Godzilla V Kong)? The Good American Godzilla Movies Era?
Godzilla, because the titans seemingly clean pollution wherever they go just by being there, and since Hedorah is comprised of pollution.... Godzilla would basically be acid to Hedorah..... Faulty logic, yeah, but faulty LOGIC..... Besides that joke of a reason, Godzilla is a lot stronger in brute strength, much heavier, and his electromagnetic pulse could help him a lot in this fight. It would be almost impossible for Hedorah to dodge it unless he backs up fast enough.
I guess the project is official now!
Mothra was a huge surprise for me this movie. I wasn't sold on the design in the trailers but the more I saw it the more I was ok with it. Overall while she didn't have the screentime or focus Godzilla and Ghidorah got I enjoyed her presence when it was there and she was one of the better aspects of the movie.
Since the stats used are from the Final Wars Hedorah who you missed if sneezed, and the showa one is half the size I'll go with Godzilla.
Honestly, I feel like this fight could go either way.
Yeah, that does make sense. You can't really name something when you don't know when it will end. The Showa series was 20 years long whilst the Millenium era only had 5 years.
Also making the Monsterverse its own era does make sense especially ones the Toho cinematic universe gets started (hopefully alongside the Monsterverse).
I don't think of giving eras names till after they're done. But I think the Legendary movies are separate from Shin and the Animes, even though they are contemporary. Just like I wouldn't classify 98 Godzilla as Heisei or Millenium. If there had been American Godzilla movies during the showa era, they wouldn't really be part of it. I prefer to think of them as continuities, rather than eras. IDK, but that's kind of a solution.
Rodan is the best, but he wasn't done justice in KOTM. He looked cool, but he didn't get to be cool, just Ghidorah's sidekick. And they gave away all his scenes in the trailer.
Godzillatheking123 Yeah, but I think he's less shrewd and more just the guy that sees who's strongest, and puts up his best fight against them away. He's feisty, and he's got attitude. IDK, maybe you're right.
Yeah, I am pretty sure that both Shin Godzilla and the Netflix movies don't really fit with that name. I am talking about all the movies from the last 5 years and beyond and not just the American Monsterverse movies.
You have come a long way Big Bird. I can't wait to see what they will do with him in future installments.
Rodan is my FAVORITE
The movie was awesome for me !
I'll need to watch it again but as of right now it's kind of a mixed bag for me. It's definitely an improvement over the previous film in many ways but it still suffers from some of the same problems. There were more kaiju fights but I still felt like the action cut way away from the monsters too much to focus on the humans, who are all mostly unlikable and annoying, especially the Monarch crew.
However the soundtrack was amazing, as was the sound design in general. There were some genuinely beautiful scenes and lots of nice little Easter eggs for Kaiju fans. Overall my current rating of the film is 7/10.
I've been quiet for a long time between Godzilla in 2014 and KOTM, but I have been on the site reading the news articles and forum posts during the long lull between the films. For KOTM to finally happen, the feeling is like...words can't describe it. The pleasure of watching Godzilla once again on the big screen just gives you a feeling of satisfaction like a sugar high, but perhaps without the sudden withdrawal afterward ( with exception of Shin Godzilla, that was the only other major big screen Godzilla film in recent years-Netflix cartoons on the small screen does not count).
Hmmm...ok that sounds like watching Godzilla is akin to taking drugs. No, that's not what I quite meant, but the feeling of joy is really like a sugar rush without the negative side effect of drugs.

Good characters. And AWESOME kaiju battles. Epic film.
It was the best movie i've ever seen, i will probably watch it like 845 times ATLEAST.
ehhhh this will bomb along with Godzilla 2
This movie is going to be a colossal bomb
I think it would be hardly, as Dr. Serizawa and other members of Monarch were already on several locations and incidents. Unless Monarch travelling to Antarctica and Mexico and all the events in between took only a few minutes.
I'm guessing there would already be several hours worth of difference in between Ghidorah's attack and the Senate meeting.
Honestly doesn't feel real that it's finally happened. It's been a long, long wait. One thing I can say is that my interpretation of prehistoric kaiju life in Godzilla: The Inception hasn't aged well at all, ha!
I loved the film, at least 9.5/10 for me, probably 9.999/10!!! However, it isn't quite perfect. Hey humans, stop talking during the Kaiju fights!!!! LET THEM FIGHT!!!! XD. Other than that, friggin amazing movie, especially loved the call backs to the OG 1954 film
That egg could be Mothra, but it might also be Battra.....
It has been an honor! Skreoooooooonk!!! (It's been an honor in Godzilla) THAT MOVIE WAS DEFINITELY WORTH THE WAIT!!!!!!!! Not quite perfect, but damn near it!
I loved it, I will probably put out what I would've done that I have been working on since the announcement of the inclusion of Mothra, Rodan, And Ghidorah (which I am actually really proud of.) I will also probably see it at least two times, the first screening available to the public which was may 30 at 4 est in standard format, and I am probably going to see the 3d version (yes, I love watching movies in 3d, it's my guilty pleasure) I would try to see it in IMAX but unfortunately there are no IMAX theaters anywhere near me.
