They look like something out of G.I. Joe or Power Rangers lol. But I do like those masks though, especially the deluxe Godzilla and Rodan ones. And the pet ones look adorable!
Update: Thantora's head , I don't know why but I think the Hydralisk has the coolest looking head
well its been 5 years since I last watched Godzilla vs Destoroyah and I only watched the movie once so forgive me if my memory is very fuzzy on a lot of the details. All I remember from that movie was Destoroyah was awesome looking and parts of it reminded me of Aliens and Godzilla became Burning Godzilla and died with Godzilla Junior's revival.
Because it makes for good drama.
Contextual clues, friends. The simulation was of him melting down, with the ensuing heat melting through the layers of the Earth down into the core, causing a chain reaction that would make the Earth blow up.
Yes, he was gonna destroy the planet. No, this was not a level of power he was displaying in combat and in fact very specifically was the end result upon his death if his meltdown stage wasn't halted or lessened.
Now, can we get back to the debate at hand?
Nice work. This is an excellent database.
"also the "he was gonna blow up the planet", could have well been an over exaggeration"
Then why bother writing it into the script?
It worked alright. It just worked a little TOO well lol
Well, SSE didn't work did it? Lol
I heard from a valid source that king ghidorah returns fully regenerated
That was really awesome! Was rooting for Charybdis, though... oh the nostalgia... I really need to find a way to re-watch the series...
Ergo, as any good VS. debater would know, this is not a valid interpretation of his strength.
Lol.
Noooice.
I should watch the series.
also the "he was gonna blow up the planet", could have well been an over exaggeration
UPDATE: I've added images for each DVD and I'm starting to add the rest of the films! I'll try and have everything done by tommorow!
Hmmmm Interesting I wonder why that happened. And if it did why wasn't the AIP dub more available?
@EmptyH no problemo just happy this list is now available somewhere. I'm updating it slowly to include photos and I'm hoping I can get Heisei and Millennium added before the weekend is up.
For the people saying "he was gonna blow up the planet", do bear in mind that's not his actual level of power. That's his LOSE condition, and also the lose condition for the planet.
He wasn't planet busting or anything to that effect; he was simply going to meltdown, causing a chain reaction that would've destroyed the Earth.
Ergo, as any good VS. debater would know, this is not a valid interpretation of his strength.
GmkGoji, the battle was cool, and awesome, also,EDB Part.8 is in the making.
As far as I can tell some older sites considered Smog Monster public domain, but all seems to be hearsay.
This is a wonderful list. Thank you for putting this together.
Could yall continue this on the actual FIGHT thread please?
One was going to blow up and destroy the planet and one was going to destroy Boston. Seems the power levels are on different scales here.
KoldWarKid62,
It's the stigma of fantasy battles. Who wins? Whoever's writing the fight.
Kamoebas V.6,
I think you need to differentiate between what a debate and a flame war is. If everyone agreed, then what's the point of asking the question?
It's a moot point since both versions were somewhat neutralized before they went went full "thermonuclear". Burning Godzilla's radiation was absorbed by Junior and Fire Godzilla had Mothra's life force to help contain his full force. But you do realize we are talking about fictional characters and situations here, right? ;)
I agree with the winner (even though I was rooting for burning), but one thing... if Burning was in meltdown, why didn't he explode? ESPECIALLY when he's being nuked? Other than that, great fight!
Only reason is was posted is because the leak had been corroborated with additional sources from different places. Again, not confirming it's legit, but it does beg the question, what if.
And yeah, to build on GMan's warning, those of you engaging in name calling and threats need to chill. Enjoy the forums, debate topics but don't derail a thread to feud with each other.
Back on topic
I'm calling Burning Godzilla 2019 Fire Godzilla just to differentiate the two.
Fire Godzilla because he can survive going thermonuclear but burning can't he would just meltdown and fire would eventually outlast and survive go back to his standard state then during burnings meltdown he could just absorb all the radiation go thermonuclear again then eventually go back to his standard state again.
Fire Godzilla DOES have increased durability compared to his base state which is already comparable to standard Heisei Godzilla and presumably Burning Godzilla who isn't stated to have better durability.
However, the Infinite Heat Ray and regeneration are definitely a factor. With the amount of radiation being thrown around, neither side will be going down easy.
The pulses from Fire Godzilla are certainly stronger than any from Burning Godzilla, but we haven't seen him use an Atomic Breath attack in that form. It could be a simple case of Fire Godzilla using his overall superior physical abilities to get Burning Godzilla down to beat on him, but it also could easily become a case of the Infinite Heat Ray becoming too much.
It's a close match for sure.
Close-range with quick kill, Burning Godzilla 2019 (Or as you still call it, Fire Godzilla. [Even though it is officially called Burning Godzilla.]) would win because he is a better and faster melee fighter.
But outside of the case mentioned above, long-range, and/or overall, Burning Godzilla 1995 wins because his Infinite Heat Ray increases with every nuclear pulse he does, and combined with 2019 adding to 1995's radiation, he will blast 2019 with what I would call a "Super Infinite Heat Ray", which would definitely kill 2019, and then shortly after defeating him, 1995 would then explode and engulf the entire world in a nuclear bomb-like explosion that hasn't been seen since the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago that wiped out 75% of all life on Earth (the famous K-T Extinction), or possibly even the Permian Mass Extinction of 250 million years ago that wiped out 90% of all life on Earth (the less famous but more deadly Great Dying), taking out just as many as the former, or even the latter.
And that's why I think Burning Godzilla 1995 will win over Burning Godzilla 2019. (Or as you call him, Fire Godzilla.)
Before I continue is there anything I need to improve with my current story layout?
I hope my writing isn't confusing
Yay! A whole invasion swarm of Ghidorah muhahahahahahaha
