I highly disagree. Whilst Godzilla may have the advantage in durability, experience and the atomic breath, Kong has the advantage in speed, intelligence and raw power. It's kind of like a highly experienced sumo wrestler with a shotgun fighting a slightly less experienced kickboxer.

I do still think Godzilla will win this fight, but the common assumption that Kong doesn't stand a chance against doesn't make sense to me.

Very simple, Destoroyah. 

Ones we get to let's say Godzilla 3 or another big phase ending movie, we could see Destoroyah become the big threat. As a part of his origins, we could dive into the history of the weapon that created it, the Oxygen Destroyer.

For us fans, the mention and use of the Oxygen Destroyer means a lot for the future of the Monsterverse, but for any newcomers to the franchise, this wouldn't think of it as something important to the franchise. That is why this could also serve as a callback to KotM and show how the military's actions had catastrophic consequences.

It would be cool, but wouldn't that kind of mess up the current timeline? The existence of the Titans only got revealed in Godzilla 2014 so how would this have happened without Godzilla being revealed to the rest of the world?

For me, I'm not concerned with why he can run, but rather with how fast can he run. As in, what is his top speed?

I wouldn't necessarily say stupid. I mean, he uses his environment to his advantage quite often and in an impressive way, so odds are he's quite intelligent. Still... it's him versus Godzilla... so GODZILLAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

I would want Godzilla to win, but just by beating Kong into submission, not killing him, because as much as I would want Kong to lose, I still want him to live.

Yeah basically, but the story of the 1954 movie had to be altered quite drastically to fit the Monsterverse, specifically time period as it is before the war instead of after and the fact that Godzilla never destroyed Tokyo in this version.

TL:dr, Dr. Serizawas father= og Sirizawa and this retells his og story with way more detail.
