It was nominated for the Razzies because there's nothing in it for critics to like; it's a fun with a bad plot without wokeness.
Hard to say as its not been truly confirmed that the Godzilla is the same Titanus Gojira from Godzilla awakening. also given that Ghidorah was in the water when he was frozen, Godzilla would have been able to flat out kill the creature by triple decapitation, as Ghidorah is no match for Godzilla in the water. he may not even be able to use his Gravity beams in water due to the high conductivity of seawater which could short out his internal electric generation organs.
I also like Destoroyah, he's pretty c00l
All fear the crabby demon!
A new Monster Sightings video from Japan has arrived!
Long Live the King
I wish Gamera could appear in Monsterverse
A group of people and Megaguirus celebrate Godzilla's birthday (It's both funny and interesting)

Even I'll say who cares? The script and characters were mediocre at best (That's being kind), But You'll never convince me that the monster designs/fights were bad.
Razzies seem about as meaningful as any other thing like grammys, oscars, rock and roll hall of fame etc......it's just people's opinions in the end. I have seen award winning movies that I thought were snooze fests and movies panned that I enjoyed. Same goes for music and games.
Interesting theory. It's very original and creative, but I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that KotM director Michael Dougherty confirmed that Ghidorah really is an old rival to the Godzilla we see in the movie. Also, even though Godzilla is refered to as a "he," its gender is never really flat out cinfirmed in the Monsterverse -- not to say that I think it's female... I just think it's irrelevant.
Yeah, honestly, I'm a little embarrassed about my little, erm...statement, shall we say.
But yeah, who really does care, in the end?
Long live the king indeed.
I just don't like super heroes, I prefer kaiju or heroic animals
Thank you for this! I've actually been curious about how Godzilla faired in the Japanese Academy, but never remembered to look it up. Also, wow, I didn't realize how much Shin G dominated.
It's so weird coming back here this morning after I've gotten over this. I'm actually kinda embarrassed now.
And Xenotaris, just for the record, don't buy into that idea that Disney or Marvel or whatever are out to deliberately sink the MonsterVerse. Believe me, it is not a threat to the MCU, and it never was.
Oh, I like it a lot
Perhaps they saw the Monsterverse a threat to their precious SJW MCU
But who cares? If you like it, you like it.
Exactly. I like it and really don't care about haters.
Eh, I'm used to Godzilla movies getting made fun of constantly, KOTM in particular now, this is kind of par for the course.
the inclusion of finishing moves in multiplayer is a nice way to risk your strike force heroes 3
Why get yourself worked up about this? Yes, perhaps KotM is getting a lot more hate than it deserves, but the only view on the film that should matter to you is your own. You are absolutely able to think about or watch this movie without having contempt on the negative aura about the critics, media, etc...
If someone tells me they hate this film, I can disagree with him / her, but at the same time I can listen to and respect their opinion, and then simply move on.
I honestly did not know that a Razzie even existed until this film got nominated, and that's because I (and perhaps a lot others) just don't care about it. And to be fair, all award shows and things alike are jokes: movies are constantly getting snubbed, winners are now based on political correctness, and the critics / voters from the Academy, Golden Globes, Critic's Choice, etc. are all biased.
I understand if you're disappointed, but don't let this make you angry or ruin the movie for you, because it really shouldn't.
You think that's bad? Last month, one of Japan's premiere movie magazines, Eiga Hiho voted KotM as the #1 worst movie of the year.
But because so many different Japanese writers and filmmakers vote on it, it's also on the "Best" list at #19. Many movies are on both lists, though where they are on each tends to vary.
But who cares? If you like it, you like it. Rambo: Last Blood got blasted by critics and eight Razzie noms, but it's a much better movie than credit gives.
We put so much stock into numbers, lists and awards, we don't spend enough time reading about "why?" and "why not?" Don't let this stuff distract you from real criticism and conversation.
Look better in my opinion
G. H. (Gman) I'm sorry. I guess I just felt like we could all finally move on from the KOTM debacle, and now it feels like the wound's been reopened all over again.
Dude, the Razzies don't even take themselves seriously, why are you?
Also, I need to remind you it could've been a lot worse. It was also on the voting ballot for worst movie, worst director, worst screenplay (which it probably deserves) and others.
(Full ballot of movies here.)
Take the hit. Laugh. Move on.
Monster X/Kaiser Ghidorah
Ooh, all those scales must've taken forever!
I always liked Titanosaurus.
The virgin Kong 1973 vs the chad Kong 2020
This is just adorable. Very colorful as well.
This is really well done, Good job!
Hmm, I'd have to say Obsidius. He's a very interesting kaiju, I even think he was in mind while designing Rodan for King of the Monsters.
The Red Menace stuff is very good work. They tend to find sources no one's seen or heard for decades--So I can't speak to what they accomplish. I can only remark on officially released stuff.
