your welcome sonictiger, the old godzilla movies will take sometime to get used with people running around fighting in monster suits it gets better in the Heisei series onwards since the suits get better looking (in my opinion anyways).
Yeah, I've started out as a huge Jurassic Park fan back in the early 90's. My first exposure to Godzilla was a cartoon called Godzilla Power Hour. Then my first live action Godzilla movie was Godzilla vs Monster Zero aka Godzilla vs The Astro Monster, only have seen Power Hour I was confused on the storyline but had fun watching it because it was a monster movie.
My second Godzilla movie was Godzilla1998, then some odd years later my uncle sent my the entire godzilla series he tapped. I finally decided to watch them to build up hype for Godzilla 2014 from Godzilla 1954 (well the King of the Monsters! verison) all the way to Godzilla vs Destoroyah (1995) I havent got to finish the rest of the series since my VHS player died after playing the first couple minutes of Godzilla 2000.
You realize their getting the movie before the USA

Glad I don't live in India.
Again, THANK YOU
If you want to introduce younger/newer fans to the older movies you have to be more diplomatic and less snarky
THANK YOU Xenotaris!!
Gman, you are hating way too much. Be positive dude.
I don't mean to nitpick but lizards technically didn't evolve until the mid-jurassic
Gman you misunderstand me, I'm all for opinions but you constantly hound on why the Monstervese is inferior, I get it, I used to be like you and constantly hound how terrible AVP (2004) was compared to the rest of the Alien series. You can find my posts on this very website for that example

Gabriel Salomon,
Louder for those in the back.
Yes, I enjoyed it as well. It details a bit more background and motivation to the characters. The action is well described. And I like the inclusion of the off-screen Titans.
It was adapted by Greg Keyes, who has also written GvK due out in April. He also wrote Dawn of the Planet of the Apes: Firestorm and War for the Planet of the Apes: Revelations. Firestorm was the better of the two.
Yes. It might be serviceable for the scene/mood of the movie, but not sure this CD will end up in my collection.
Gvk, in my opinion, would've been a perfect redemption opportunity for emma as she realizes apex has gone too far with Mecha g(realizing that apex never truly cared for the environment) and helps her daughter to stop it. It would've also been a good opportunity to expand on the relationship between the mother and daughter as they spend the last half of the movie trying to deactivate or hamper mechagodzilla together.. But.....:(
And your critiques will make it better! Thx :)
Your story is very good tho
Ah, thx. I'll keep that in mind for the next chapter.
Reading back over it, I do that quite a bit, ill have to work on it. Sorry :(
After the incident with the strange insect creature the tall monster, that the newborn now recognized as a caregiver, seemed to be more paranoid than before.
I won’t explain prepositions, or participles or the grammar everyone knows exists but don’t know what they do.
Redemption is often a good character arc, admittedly t could have been better.
@ChrisRemixperson
Respect
Desplat and McCreary are sorely missed.
Also lemme know if you find any grammar errors
Emma could have been a great villain. Instead, they ruined her character with a single move: redemption. Her redemption scene was completely unnecessary, and she should have remained the crazed person she was. Set in her ways until the very end. The soundtrack and monster designs are the only 2 good aspects of this film, but even that doesn't make the film worth watching as you can go on YouTube and listen to the tracks or support the composer by purchasing them. The execution of action sequences was poor. Even if we didnt cut away to the humans each time, the way the monsters actually fought was so boring. Every time we cut back to the action, they would do a basic swipe or tackle then move away again. Is that really worth it??
The Monsterverse I feel moved way too fast to allow anything interesting to build up. They didn't take the time to actually plan or outline the "universe" they wanted and it shows. I was on board when 2014 and Skull Island released because it was the beginning of the universe and a prequel to show you where it began. Then KotM decided to advance way too far and introduce way too much at once, killing off any possible interesting scenarios the Monsterverse could've led to. As cool as Godzilla vs Kong looks, I personally believe it should end off here. I do however, wish things could've progressed differently.
Man those were great Hollywood noises, now where's the actual soundtrack?
I would prefer CGI if I was animating, but then again, I want to build my own suit. Has anyone on the forum done that?
Yeah. But apparently not the expansion of horizons. Enjoy you're name of the game.
What? I grew up in an era where cgi is the name of the game
I don’t really want to see cheesy effects
I will watch 54 at least
sonictiger,
If it's not strong enough to make you want to go back and watch the rest of the series, then no. It's not.
i thank godzilla is going to win
I think most of the contention is based on the fact that communication is online, which makes it feel more hostile and foreign, The mask on seeing emotions makes for misunderstandings. I TRY to sugarcoat things often, and try to stop from ranting. Also this is why I haven’t really stated my opinion on KOTM. Not talking about a subject isn’t a great alternative, but communication online requires a certain educate. Which obviously I’m not great at, so I guess I’m being a little Hypocritical
Admit it though, the MonsterVerse is ambitious though.
Xenotaris,
Well, the reverse of that is it telling people to not give their opinion, which I'll take responsibility for, but am not going to do. Telling people how to have a conversation or to tell them not to converse about it is equally, "gatekeeping".
Like me.
I am probably never going to watch the old films except for maybe the 54 one.
Like a teen version
