It looks like what a real Godzillasaurus would look like. If they're going that route in the new movie for Godzilla's origin, I recommend a look similar to this; very dinosaur-like.

I can honestly see both opening with action and with origin. It might not happen but I can see it and let me explain why. It's been 9 years since we got a new Godzilla Movie, the movie that would put the G-Man for a nice long awaited rest, "Final Wars." So with the movie coming a decade after the final film of the Millenium Generations, it would be appropriate to start off this new film by reenacting some scenes from the original movie while also showing the presume demise of Godzilla. This would be helpful to newcomers in showing some origin to the creature while also giving a taste of the creature's destructive force.

Aguirus win? Not likely, in all his movies he's just a punching bag for the most part. Gigan, and most other main antagonist kaiju, would destroy him. I like anguirus but unfortunately toho has made him extremely weak.

I wouldn't want him to be a female, if ever, perhaps another Godzilla that's a female would appear.

I dont know. Its hard to know how to start the movie off without knowing the movie. But i want something interesting and captivating. An attack on a ship maybe. P.S, i would be pretty annoyed if they put the actual title AT THE END of the movie. Thats something alot of these Legendary/Warner movies do.

If is its reffered to, he should be a male. And im more than sure that if his gender is reffered, Edwards would make him male. And he shouldnt produce asexually, thats simply idiotic. And the less bridges to that horrible 98 movie, the better. He shouldnt have an offspring like that, and he wont die, Edwards himself said he was already THINKING about a sequel.

I'm expecting a more subtle opening. Mysterious 'seismic' activity even though geologically it shouldn't be happening; fishing vessels go missing after seeing a "massive black iceberg"; etc.

Godzilla gender while not explicitly stated, is generally accepted to be male. The production teams refers to him as male in both the remake and the original movies. So Godzilla is sort of unofficially considered a male, at least as far as the production crews are concerned. I'd also like to point out that genitals are not needed to determine the sex of an animal, a lot of animals gender can't be determined from out war appearance, even in zoo's some animals require DNA testing to determine the sex. While I'm know early films referred to Godzilla as "it" rather than He or she, I think there are instances in late films where Godzilla is referred to as male.

My best guesstimate is that Dr. Brody (Bryan Cranston) worked for Jan-Jira and conducted fairly ethical work, but then someone got the bright idea to start testing radiation on habitats of animals or contained contamination, anyway, he leaves the company, obviously, and then these creatures start appearing and attacking cities and the military code-name's them MUTO. So, my guess is Jan-Jira is to blame for the Mutos and/or "Vishnu."

1954 Gojira Film: In here, the monster feels tougher than the later Gojira. They use fast regeneration to heal from damage for one thing. This one seemed to have a tougher skin. Plus, it was more "ferocious" or "darker" than the other Gojira. 1998 Zilla Film: Okay, so the monster isn't Godzilla. However the look is cool and the movie is exciting and fun. 2014 Godzilla Film: I know, I haven't even seen it yet and already I'm loving what I'm seeing already.

@Kyero, You make a good point (one that I had forgotten about). I remember reading that the Japanese version of the original 1954 Gojira the gender was left ambiguous. The characters used "it" terms to refer to the monster. Seeing that the 2014 American counterpart is largely inspired from this film, it would be extremely fitting to revive this aspect of it. That way it's true to the original concept and lets the fan imagine our Godzilla's gender to be s they wish it.
