My point is to get this monster more known. Honesly, i don't care what Toho did because apperantly they never took the time to actualy MAKE a background image for the monster. It's like you just can't become famous, you'll have to work your way up. I understand why you don't want to this monster in a Godzilla film. But if Legendary Pictures actually worked more with this monster and created a background and a better concept on the beast then most definatly i think the monster should be in the film. If Legendary ever works on this monster and actually does something with this creature then i think they would definatly make one hell of an enemy. And yea there is not much known about Bagan but thats when Legendary could step in and make this monster from nothing but a video game charator to a super-beast thaat could destroy the world if Godzilla doesn't brawl with it and kill the monster. I am sick and tired of seeing the sames names over and over and over. Ghidorah, Mothra, Orga, Rodan ect Even Destroroyah. The fact is that these monsters did there thing and had there chance. If Toho wanted Destroyah back in the movies then it would have been in the Millenium films...But it's not. I think it's time to see something that we have never seen before. I want to see this monster come to life due to the fact that since it doesn't have a background for a film officially, then it would be a great idea to use. I still think Legendary Pictures could do alot more with this monster than a monster that has already been used in the past and in multiple games. Bagan is like the monster that has never been challenged or seen in theaters. Would you not be a fan of a Legendary Picture Godzilla movie if it featured an unused monster?
he can always come into a destroy all monsters movie, that movie will feature a gang of huge monsters that the fans will be excited to see in other godzilla movies instead of not knowing who the monster is,, destroy all monsters can feature a bunch of creatures we never have seen before... nuff said realease a trailer already
I think you guys are wrong. So you're saying you would rather see the same monsters over and over and over again in Godzilla movies? And tell me exacy how Destoroyah and Bagan are the same creature? They look nothing a like, and there powers are different. So i don't the 2 can be the same monsters. It's rediculious to say that they are the same when they arent. Destoroyah is cool yes, but i don't want to see the same repetative thing over again. Thats another reason why i think bagan needs to be in a film.
You said yourself Toho considered Bagan for Godzilla vs. Destroyah, but created Destroyah instead. So wouldn't it make sense that Destroyah is equally as powerful from a creative standpoint? Plus, before all the rabid fanart of a purple and gray Bagan started crawling from the woodwork Bagan, in the video game, was a redish-brown creature, who was overdesigned, bulky, spikey, had three massive claws for a hand and a huge horn pertruding from its head-- just like Destroyah. Destroyah was clearly designed off of the same template as Bagan.
And yes. I would rather see King Ghidorah in three movies in a row if it meant Bagan never saw the light of day.
I have seen Godzilla vs Destoroyah and yea i like it but i thought it could have been a better movie. Destoroyah wasn't as powerful as i though and bagan and Destoroyah do NOT have the same powers. in the game Super Godzilla, Bagan is so powerful that Godzillas had to change into a more powerful Godzilla. The difference between Super Godzilla and Burning Godzilla is that, Burning Godzilla had no choice to die, and Super Godzilla did. Super Godzilla also had had very high attack power beams and also more armored skin to protect it from major blasts. Burning Godzilla didnt. The thing is Bagan and Destoroyah, Burning Godzilla, and Super Godzilla are 2 different monsters.
So, wait. The only reason Bagan should be in a movie is because you think he's powerful? This is bad fanfiction logic. If Bagan was worth putting into a storyline he would've been in a movie by now. As it stands he's not and probably never will be. Bagan has been in scrapped Toho Godzilla scripts since the 1970s. If he hasn't been in a movie by now it means Toho doesn't think he's a good enough creation to be in one.
I also don't care to see "Super Godzilla". If you want to see Super Godzilla go watch SpaceGodzilla. That's about as close as you're going to get.
I think It's time for a change for once and give another monster a chance. Bagan is also the biggest, strongest and heaviest giant monster there is. So i want to see the 2 giants battle it out in a Legendary film.
They are giving other monsters a chance. They're called the Mutos and they're even more original than Bagan. But who says Bagan is the biggest and strongest? If Bagan is 150 meters tall he only ties with Heisei King Ghidorah. And who says he's stronger than Kaizer Ghidorah? Or Destroyah? Or Burning Godzilla? Or Kaiser Godzilla? Hell, what if Showa Godzilla is stronger than all of them? You can't prove Bagan is stronger than them one way or another and you certainly won't convince me of that. He was only a video game character. He was lucky to be that much.
The fact is there are monsters far more popular that Legendary would be more tempted to use. And I'd rather see Legendary's take on all of these monsters before any ittiration of Bagan. Ever.
NOTICE: that this drawing is a little bit stretched.
Compare to how it looks on Deviantart
But anyway Nice Design the artist made, love the side view but the front EEhhh fine, atleast no zilla feeling to it.
Olsen is going too be one of the main role,s in the movie so she is going too survie in the hole movie and also bryan too and talyor too
True but some of the Muto,s might be diffenet species Or maybe related ones But still the Second Unknown monster is not revealed yet my guess is maybe the winged muto would be the Second monster or the monster from the teaser trailer
You wanna know what we know about Godzilla's enemies? Pretty much nothing aside from their names and that they seem to vary from being multi-legged and winged. I garuntee there are more monsters, and I garuntee there will be a "end boss" type monster near the end; or maybe not. All we can do is wait.
I so want Biollante to have another movie. She is my favorite monster and it would be so cool to see more forms of her.
PRIMALTRANSITION@ dude i think you dont get it. some fans dont even no Bagon I looked at the picture of Bagon and he looks like he could kill Godzilla if Bagon is lucky enough and also he,s not a classic Godzilla Monster He,s Just a Super monster from the older Godzilla games and Also Legendary are going too make squeals of The classica movies like Mothra Destroyah and MechaGodzilla or Gigan so I dont think Legendary is going too put Bagon In the New movies for the New series of Godzilla.

Destroyah is more Badass then Bagon and Destroyah looks more cooler then Bagon
It's not the best release, but there's been worse. I'm pretty sure my bluray disc is able to remove the subtitles though. The picture quality is passable, but not top notch bluray quality. I think the biggest issue is the improper 5.1 Surround Sound. They clearly botched that. The extras are pretty nice.
As for the case... I don't really care. I'm used to most movies having the worst DVD/Bluray covers possible-- There's a lot of really awful movies covers in the world and the North American Godzilla releases have some of the absolute worst. I'm not going to lose sleep over it though.
The DVD honeslty sucks tp me, it's looks very fuzzy and the japanese subs wont come off. And i personally think the DVD/Blu-ray art work looks lame.
My copy is very clear, and i can take off the subtitles and I have the same one as you. but a special edition would be cool
I agree with GMAN2887. Destroyah is practically the same monster and is much more badass in design and powers. Bring THAT guy to a Legendary movie, not Bagan.
I hope Bagan is never in any Godzila movie ever, ever, ever. I never want to see, hear or think about Bagan ever again.
You want Bagan? Watch Godzilla vs. Destroyah. Design/power-wise, it's practically the same monster.
good source to use on Bagan. And thats my point exacly. Bagan is a powerful beast that i think needs to out there by Legendary Pictures. I mean it wuld surprise Toho and hell probably make them happy to see that Bagan is getting an awesome film treatment. I think that Bagan needs to be the enemy that Godzilla needs to fight to end the Legendary Saga. I would love it. To see an all new enemy never seen before. To see Godzilla give a final attack on Bagan, i would jump up and down, out of my seat for that! Thats why i think Bagamnn needs a film treatment. Because How strong it is. The King of Monstera going up against an all powerful enemy more powerful than Ghidorah by 4 times the power! Bagan needs a film treatment.
im suprised myself. i just read up on him he was supposed to be his biggest baddest foe. he was supposed to be 150 meters tall (this info is on the godzilla wiki by the way).
Bagan was scrapped for Destoroyah because Toho decided to make Godzilla vs Destoroyah and released it as the final Godzilla movies in the 90's. Honestly all I know about Bagan is that the monster is a super monster with power house attacks and gives godzilla a run for it. Untill he turns super of course just like in the game.
This what Bagan looks like. I'm really surprised that Toho has never put the monster in theaters to fight Godzilla yet, But if Legendary would do that, then I want to see a Super-beast battle of the millenium.
I don't really like bugs as giant monsters in this movie, but the dead centipede looks great in the trailer
greetings from argentina
id also would like to see bagan be used in at least one movie. ive never played super godzilla but ive heard a lot about this monster. it would make an interesting final enemy
I hope Godzilla is gonna be an Irradiated Dinosaur this time, not a FRIGGIN' IGUANA!!!!
Looks awesome
I can't wait till the release the full version. It's gonna be awesome! This looks awesome!

@SHAZOTHEHEDGEHOG - None of the statues at the Godzilla encounter should be the final design. If they weren't too fat, they looked too much like Zilla. The head shot from Brazil is by far the best design we've seen yet. The full body shot from Amazon is a little strange and my indeed be photoshopped as other fans claim, but it's still the best head design we've got of the Big-G for this upcoming movie. Bear-Goji, as the fat model/statue is known to fans these days, is definitely best left as nothing more than concept artwork.
And regarding the artwork at the top of this page, I like it. Very well done for the medium. It took a lot of talent and time to create that, I'm sure. Good stuff.
I think this guy nailed it. This could almost look like real concept art (which it isnt, of course). Bu isnt the front view head a bit...Narrowed down?
In my opinion, That head design looks weird, something about it seems off. Look at the statue at the Godzilla Encounter:
That statue should have been the Godzilla they used, but I do like the realism idea, especially the way you explained it in your other discussion. I can live with the design though, as long as it looks better in CGI. The question that remains is, what will others think about it?
I definitley agree with you both, a 2 hour Godzilla movie would be perfect.
Heisei was right Godzilla got weakened by the ANEB and at the end he dunk his head in the water that was the funniest part i ever seen lol
december is the perfect month to debut the trailer the gap between december and the release day is a good and long gap which is great for a good marketing campaign and i rember the pacific rim trailer being on youtube on december.
I've never seen Biollante to be overrated due to the fact that movie never hit big in Japan and in the U.S.A. I'm not arguing, I'm just saying that Biollante needs to be in more movies to be seen as overrated.
And the film was made very well for a Godzilla movie, yea the music in the begining of the film could have been better but overall it's actually one of the best made, but sadly Biollante didn't have enough apperance in the film.
As for the 2012 American DVD release, honestly i am dissapointed on it though this is what i would have liked to see.

i think it should be around 140 minutes at tops.
why is this guy want gvsh 2 to happen, it will never happen also i don't think gareth edwards would like that idea because it is too fimilar to the showa series and (sorry guys) the showa era is long gone especially with g14 which will be one of the darkest of godzilla movies
thanks for the input!!! I want to do something to get this monster recconized and the play time it deserves in movies.
in uk ratings PG which i think is the equivilant to pg13, Gojira is rated PG over here
@kyero About Biollante, no. Godzilla was weakened by the ANEB when they fought at the end of the movie, and he still did much more harm to her than the other way around.
I really like Biollante. Her movie was pretty interesting as it focused largely on the anti nuclear bacteria which was a great plot line, and monster wise her final form looked really good if only it had appeared for more than 5 minutes.
Overall I'd love to see her in another movie, but don't see that happening
Nevermind I commented when it wasn't refreshed; still think Destroyah should be #1 but list is correct for the most part now or close enough
